The Neyuherú·kęʼ Wampum Belt tells a story of the Tuscarora Nation's experience in North Carolina and New York. It is sacred to the Tuscarora people. The Neyuherú·kęʼ Wampum Belt was presented to the "people of North Carolina" and accepted by then Provost Marilyn Sheerer and ECU on behalf of North Carolina in 2013 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Neyuherú·kęʼ Battle.
