The photographs show people standing outside the front and side of the building. Also included is a clipping about member Mrs. Ella Hudson's ninety-third birthday celebration.

Collection (ca. 1987 – 2004) of maps, photographs, correspondence, genealogical research on the descendents of Shadrack Allen, Sr., newspaper clippings, photocopies, and other printed sources, including transcriptions of manuscript materials, concerning President George Washington's historic "Southern Tour" of 1791, focusing especially on those events occurring in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Oral history interview with prominent African American businessman and political leader of Greenville, North Carolina, named Denison D. "D.D." Garrett, Sr. He discusses his background, education, business pursuits, and political involvement including race relations in Greenville and Pitt County, especially during the Civil Rights era.

Collection contains a variety of items relating to Eastern North Carolina especially including a photograph of East Carolina Teacher's College scene (ca. 1940's); a theater Program (ca. 1933/34) for a play presented by The Episcopal Junior Guild, Austin Building, East Carolina Teacher's College; and a Measles in Quarantine Keep Your Babies Away From Measles Broadside (4/7/1934) posted on the home of Ella Viola McGowan when she had the measles. Also included are photographs (some unidentified) of World War II era of which several pertain to military bases such as the 657th Engineer Topographic Battalion (40th Infantry Division, U.S. Army), and one is of Cecil May in U.S. Marine corporal uniform; a photocopy of a letter (1913) containing reminiscences of Confederate veteran John W. Vernelson (of N.C. State Troops) war service and describing the Veterans Reunion at Gettysburg, PA; receipts (1909-1910) for sales by Crown Bottling Works in New Bern, NC; Pitt County, NC, land grants and deeds (1782-1837) related to the Boyd, Edwards, and Nobles families; Bible Records and birth and death records for the Eldridge, Wilder/Hatsell, Pittman, Moore, Sewell, and Davis families; and the book (2011) "One of the Lucky Ones," Edgar Cannon's Contributions in World War II. Other materials (1856-2001) consist of manuscripts, research clippings, notes, photocopies, photographic prints, programs, notebooks, and newspapers, relating to the history and genealogy of Eastern North Carolina, especially Robersonville and Williamston in Martin County, NC. Also included are a 1941 color silent 16mm film about Greenville and slides (ca. 1970) documenting tobacco and old houses in Pitt County, NC.

Collection (1934-2022, undated) of programs, constitutions, bulletins, reports, membership records, memorials, correspondence, scrapbooks and clippings related to the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and its Beta Alpha and Delta Chapters in Greenville, North Carolina, and Sigma Chapter in Kinston and Lenoir County, North Carolina.

These papers (1938) document the New Deal policy during the Great Depression of resettling impoverished families from across the country into planned settlements. One of these resettlements occurred in Tillery, Halifax County, North Carolina. The documents are summonses for defendants to appear in the District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. The importance of these documents is that they list the names of landholders whose land was being condemned to be used in the planned Resettlement.

This collection contains five photographs. These photographs show the J. R. and J. G. Moye Store on Evans St. in Greenville in the 1910s, the Amoco Dealers conventions in Washington, D.C.,and the most recent photograph comes from the late 1980s or early 1990s of the Pitt County, N.C., Sheriff's Department and includes coroner E. W. Harvey, Jr.

Personal files (1975-2000) for active North Carolina Democratic Party member and advocate for women Betty Speir, including correspondence, reports, agendas, minutes and memos pertaining to the equal rights amendment, the governor's crime commission, and state and local democratic party politics.

Collection (1901-1926) of correspondence received by Maud Smith (née Tyson) and her husband Walter Edward "Edd" Smith, from family and friends. Collection includes letters to Maud Tyson, while she attended Littleton Female College, letters from Carl Tyson, during World War I, from the Headquarters of the 81st Division, at Camp Jackson, South Carolina, between May and November, 1918, and several other letters, as well as a list of transcripts and typed transcripts of all letters in the collection.

Papers from Wayne Williams while he was writing "Beginning of the School of Medicine at East Carolina University". Includes typescripts from interviews Williams conducted, newspaper articles about history of hospital, information on Pitt County Memorial Hospital (previously Vidant, now ECU Health) Board of Trustees and Foundation, general source material on nursing, and drafts of book.

Papers (2/23/1862 - 12/26/1868) consisting of a pocket notebook belonging to James H. Mills, Sergeant of Company I, 44th Regiment North Carolina Troops, the "Eastern Tigers," a unit recruited in Pitt County, including orders, inventories, muster and supplies lists related to the Civil War and a few post-war account records.

Mary Virginia Jones Greenville, N.C. Jones describes her family, her childhood, her education at Fleming Street School and C.M. Eppes School in Greenville, N.C. and North Carolina A&T, and her career as a teacher at Kittrell Junior Collge in Kittrell, N.C., and at several Pitt County and Greenville, N.C., schools. Also discusses desegregation in the schools.
