Reminiscences (1999) of Capt. Walter P. Murphy, Jr. (US Navy ret.) a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, of his service (1941-1944) as a junior naval officer during World War II, including among other topics the incident of the submarine USS Sailfish sinking the Japanese carrier Chuyo.

Papers (1865-2013, bulk 1919-1982) relating to Georgia Pearsall Hearne, an artist, musician, and teacher, whose portraits of prominent North Carolinians earned her state-wide recognition, including consisting of correspondence, daybooks, photographs, original artwork, reproductions of art work, newspaper clippings, printed forms, printed materials, genealogical materials, and miscellany.

The Edsall R. Johnston, Jr., Papers consists of materials pertaining to the USS Mount Olympus (AGC-8), including a European cruise journal (1952) and materials pertaining to the U.S. Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, Maryland. All materials are photocopies.

Diary (1845-1847) kept by a traveling New York daguerreotypist whose identity is unknown. He traveled throughout Eastern North Carolina (October 1846-January 1847) and wrote down his impressions of Edenton, Plymouth, Williamston, Greenville and Washington, North Carolina, as well as Norfolk, Virginia. A small portion of the diary includes instructions on how to clean daguerreotype plates and take good portraits.

Greenville, North Carolina homes in 2001. The houses include the E. B. Ficklen home on West First Street, the J. S. and E. B. Ficklen homes on West 3rd Street, the old J. S. Ficklen home on Elizabeth Street (2), old Judson Blount home at the corner of Elizabeth and West 5th Streets (2) and an unidentified home at the corner of Ward and Elizabeth Streets. The collection is from 2001 and includes color 4" by 6" photographs.

Papers (1899-2020) consisting of programs, correspondence, newspaper clippings, minutes, club histories, invitation, eulogies, a scrapbook and miscellaneous items concerning the End of the Century Book Club in Greenville, North Carolina.

Papers (undated) of USNA class of 1941 officers, including accounts of service in the USS PHOENIX (CL-46) and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor along with published articles he wrote on nuclear power, macro operations analysis and modern war.

Collection (ca. 1987 – 2004) of maps, photographs, correspondence, genealogical research on the descendents of Shadrack Allen, Sr., newspaper clippings, photocopies, and other printed sources, including transcriptions of manuscript materials, concerning President George Washington's historic "Southern Tour" of 1791, focusing especially on those events occurring in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Files (1717-1957) of Murfreesboro, N.C. lawyers and Hertford County, N.C. officals, including correspondence, legal files, reports, financial records, etc. of B.B. Winborne, Attorney at Law, Winborne & Lawrence, Winborne and Winborne, Lemuel R. Jernigan and James L. Anderson.

Collection (ca. 1899-2011, undated) documenting the history of Pepsi-Cola in New Bern, N.C.; the involvement of the Minges family in the soft drink business, 1923-1992, in Greenville, Tarboro, and Rocky Mount, N.C.; and the Minges Bottling Group, Inc., of Ayden, N.C. Materials include clippings, correspondence, contracts and financial records, advertising materials, photographic prints and compact discs, printing plates, printed materials, trademark registration certificates, video recordings, ephemera,etc. Digital files document the history of the Minges family of Catawba and Pitt Counties, North Carolina, and the history of the Minges Bottling Group.

Papers (1905-1913, undated) consisting of correspondence, a letter copy book, photographs, picture post cards, brands of tobacco, etc. related to Halifax Co, North Carolina, native Quentin Gregory's work in China with the British-American Tobacco Company. Also included is a memoir written by his son Thomas Wynns Gregory in 2013 about life growing up and living as an adult in Halifax, N.C.

Papers (1905-1942) of Allen Jay Maxwell, N.C. Commissioner of Revenue (1929-1942), including a biographical sketch, newspaper clippings, photographs, and speeches relating to state tax issues, his campaigns for N.C. governor, dissatisfaction with public school history textbooks and other aspects of his life.

Collection (1871-1970, undated) including correspondence, photographs, postcards, and printed material relating to the Stancill Family.
