Map (1600) of North America, entitled Novi Orbis Pars Borealis, America Scilicet, Complectens Foridam, Baccalaon, Candam, Terram corte, by Matthias Quadt, engraved by Johannes Bussemacher, extends from the Caribbean to the Northwest Passage and from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans. It is excised from the original engraving published in Quadt's Geographisch Handbuch where the first Atlas was published in German. 9 x 11.5 x 0.125 inches. Matted. Hand colored.

The C. B. West collection consists of a ledger documenting construction projects of C. B. West and his son in Greenville and other cities; and materials purchased from such suppliers as W. H. Dail of Greenville; and three Greenville Mayor's Court record books documenting minor crimes in Greenville.

Papers (1820-[1917-1975]-1980) consisting of correspondence, newspapers, clippings, literary manuscripts, scrapbooks, pamphlets, movie based correspondence, and genealogical records related to the literary career of newspaper columnist Dorothy Repiton Knox of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Letterbook (1861-1864) consisting of handwritten transcripts of letters.

Papers (1828-1880) including correspondence, photographs, daybook, account book, family history, a morning report form, certificate of oath, letters.

Papers (1861-1863) including correspondence, tintype, a Bible, a comb, and two rings.

Papers (1845-1992, undated) including correspondence, genealogical information, photographs, a water color, clippings, a doctor's journal, a recipe book and miscellaneous.

Papers (1891-1918) including correspondence, legal materials, financial records, ledgers, estate papers, real estate records, political material, letters and miscellaneous concerning Jesse W. Grainger of Kinston, North Carolina, a very successful truck farmer, owner of the first tobacco warehouse in Kinston, and very active in civic affairs.

Map (1597) of Florida and the Southeast by Cornelius Wytfliet, extending from Cuba to North Carolina (21- 41. North Latitude; 287- 308 West Longitude) excised from Descriptionis Ptolemaeici augmentum, the first atlas of America. 9 x 11.25 x .125 inches. Contains watermark of dolphin with a crown. Hand colored.
