Collection (1899-2004) of printed materials compiled for the centennial of the Orville & Wilbur Wright's first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; including an article written by the Wright brothers on their flight experiments with various airplanes coupled with printed copies of photographs and a printed reproduction of the article; also copies of Monthly Weather Review magazines from August-September 1899; and a copy of the North Carolina Literary Review dedicated to commemorating the centennial of the first flight complete with poetry and interviews; also two calendars illustrated with images of the Wright brothers flight experiments.

This collection contains genealogical files belonging to avid genealogist Sylvia Corey (July 10, 1925–November 9, 2020) of Greenville, N.C. Included are files related mainly to the Corey (of Martin County) and Leggett (of Beaufort County) families, but also to the Gorham, Baker, Davis, Whitmell, and Wynne families among many others. Some files are related to her work with the Pitt County Family Researchers group. Also contains a zip file of born-digital genealogy material created using "Reunion" software.

Collection contains material related to the research, teaching, and publications of East Carolina University Department of History faculty member Lawrence F. Brewster, as well as his materials related to his philanthropy to ECU.

Papers of Eve Shelnutt (1984) documenting the life and literary career of the Spartanburg, South Carolina-born American poet, short story writer who taught creative writing at various universities, including the College of the Holy Cross; consisting of unbound carbon typescripts of her volume of poetry Air and Salt (1984) and of her short story Undersong (1984).

Papers of Dara Wier (1981) documenting the life and literary career of the New Orleans, Louisiana-born American poet who is also director of the Masters of Fine Arts program for poets and writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, who was married novelist and short story writer Allen Wier (m. 1969-1983) [#1169.103] and then to poet James Tate until his death in 2015; consisting of a broadside of her poem The Consequences of Weather (1981), autographed Dara Wier.

Collection of two bound manuscript account books (1872-1892) of a physician practicing in Cameron and Carthage, Moore County, North Carolina, during the late 19th century and for part of that time in partnership with Calvin Graves, a pharmacist, including bills and receipts for office visits, medicines, and vague descriptions of treatments. One volume contains an alphabetical index of patient names for locating specific patient accounts. Also includes advertisements and postcards directed to physicians and/or pharmacists as well as a loose receipt.

Papers of Reginald Gibbons (1980) documenting the life and literary career the noted Houston, Texas-born American poet, fiction writer, translator, literary critic, artist, editor, and educator at the Northwestern University School of Professional Studies; consisting of a broadside poem published by Palaemon press entitled Those Who Are Gone After Antonio Machado (Palaemon Broadside No. 19, 1980), by Reginald Gibbons; autographed Reginald Gibbons.
