Papers (2006-2024) from the Tar River University Neighborhood Association (TRUNA) of Greenville, North Carolina. TRUNA was created in 1998 as a merger of two pre-existing neighborhood associations: The University Neighborhood Association (TUNA) and the Tar River Neighborhood Association (TRNA). Included are files of the president, minutes, correspondence, and files related to an initiative to save the neighborhood from planned ECU development by creating the East College Park Homeowners Association (later deemed unnecessary when ECU withdrew their plans related to expansion there). Some records of TUNA and TRNA activities are also included.

This collection contains copies of the ECU Medical Review and later iterations of the publication.

This collection contains published annual financial reports of the university.

The Laura Marie Leary Elliott Collection is comprised of clippings related to Elliott and her death.

Papers (1902-1980s, undated) of Greenville, NC, lawyer and member (1956-1961) of the N.C. House of Representatives and Greenville Mayor (1969-1971) Frank Marion Wooten, Jr. (1916-1992) consisting of correspondence, pamphlets, proposed bills, reports, petitions, resolutions, bulletins, periodicals, printed bills, and photographs. Crime and punishment-related topics, and tax issues are major topics covered.

Papers (1891-1918) including correspondence, legal materials, financial records, ledgers, estate papers, real estate records, political material, letters and miscellaneous concerning Jesse W. Grainger of Kinston, North Carolina, a very successful truck farmer, owner of the first tobacco warehouse in Kinston, and very active in civic affairs.

Papers (1873, 1892-2009, undated) concerning Littleton Female College (later called Littleton College) in Warren County, North Carolina, and its alumnae include correspondence, programs, college history, alumnae lists, clippings, pamphlets and speeches, etc. The college opened in 1882 and closed after a disastrous fire in 1919. The Littleton College Memorial Association was founded in 1926.

Papers of the Historic Halifax Garden Association include official documents (1975-1999) such as the constitution and by-laws, papers regarding tax-exempt status and a photocopy of the check handing over the remaining assets of the association to the Historical Halifax Restoration Association; two secretarial notebooks (1981-1989); a guestbook used at the opening of the Restored Eagle Tavern in Historic Halifax (June 29, 1981) and records belonging to past president Gwen B. Dickens (1975, 1979-1989) such as orders of business, attendance records, membership dues records, correspondence and material related to projects.

Roger C. Schlobin Papers (ca. 1963-2013), including bibliographies, correspondence, clippings, contracts, computer diskettes, compact disk, drafts of published works of fiction and literary criticism, research materials, reviews and other manuscripts related to science fiction and fantasy, and to the literary career of Andre Norton.

Papers (1833-1986) compiled by Elizabeth "Bessie" Hampton Wade Wooten, the wife of noted Greenville, NC, Democratic Party political leader Frank M. Wooten, Sr. Materials include correspondence, clippings, ephemera, financial records, maps, newspapers, photographic prints, photograph album, printed materials and scrapbook materials related to her education, friends, family, travels, and social interests.

Papers (1942-1946, 1951, 1991), of U.S. Naval photo interpreter and intelligence officer, including memos, photographs, pamphlets, operations manuals, worksheets, maps, reports, and ephemera reflecting operations at Normandy, Cherbourg, Sicily, and Guam during World War II.

Collection (1902-2003) of genealogical and historical research files compiled by John Henry Oden III. Also includes the R. C. Chadwick Mercantile Records, Claude F. Pilley Papers, and the Windley Family Papers. Consists mostly of copies of wills, tax records, letters, deeds, newspapers, birth certificates, family trees, and photographs related to families in Beaufort, Washington, Hyde, and Halifax counties, N.C.

Papers (1861-1865, undated) of Civil War soldier in the 12th Ohio Independent Battery, Company D of the 25th Ohio Regiment. Papers consist of Diary containing descriptions of Civil War camp life and of the Battle of Cheat Mountain, West Virginia (9/12/1861) which was Robert E. Lee's first campaign.

Papers include military record and report of separation and registered nurse certificate from the North Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners.

Papers of physician William Ernest Evans, including "The Physician's Perfect Call List and Record" notebook and a newspaper clipping of "Brotherhood."
