Papers (ca. 1857-1962) of the Barnhill and Roebuck families of Robersonville, Martin County, N.C., including correspondence and scrapbooks related to school life at Davenport College in Lenoir, N.C., and St. Mary's School in Raleigh, N.C., and Fairfax Hall in Basic, Va., in the 1910s and 1920s, and college life (1929-1930) at East Carolina Teachers' College (now East Carolina University) in Greenville, N.C. Also included are financial records and land records (especially for the Roebuck family for the 1870s through the 1920s), photographs and ECTC annuals.

This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina College of Education. Record types include annual reports, other reports, committee minutes, self studies, publications and brochures, and audiovisual materials.

Papers of Donald Davidson (1981, 1986) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Giles County, Tennessee-born American poet, essayist, social and literary critic and author; consisting of a printed broadside of his poem An Epinician Ode in Honor of John Crowe Ransom, published by Palaemon Press (1981); noted by Stuart Wright on verso: typescript is signed by Donald Davidson 'At Bread Loaf, Vermont / July 28, 1958; also including a letter from M. Thomas Inge to Stuart Wright (1986) concerning the possible publication of Inge's correspondence with Davidson.

Records from the North Carolina Public Health Association includes newsletters, programs from meetings and conferences, minutes from governing council and executive committee, correspondence, memos, and adult health promotion treasurer's report books.

This ca. 1942 map drawn by Berliner Lokalanzeiger and published in Berlin, Germany, documents the Pacific Theater during World War II. Noted are the regions controlled by the British, United States, and Japanese armed forces, the regions attacked by the Japanese, and distances within the Pacific Theater.

Papers (1839-1883, 1930) consisting of correspondence, sermons, notebooks, magazine, newspapers, church conference, reports, writings, theological manuscripts, etc.

Collection [1636-1798] including newspaper and magazine clippings, relating to racial integration and race relations; files of a professional genealogist concerning North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland families.

Items (1928-1941) related to Greenville, NC, resident James Howard Moye; and items (1955) related U.S. Coast Guard rescues in North Carolina. The Zion's Landmark Vol. 23, No. 7 and Vol. 32, No. 7 (10/15/1890 and 2/15/1899) periodical published semi-monthly by Zion's Landmark Print, Wilson, North Carolina (Primitive, or Old School Baptist) that was in the collection has since been transferred to the North Carolina Collection as of 2022.

Collection of papers 1941-2005, undated (bulk 1943-1946), consisting primarily of letters from Pvt. Leon W. Jackson to his sister Lois (Claude E.) Dees and to her son Tony while he was serving in the U. S. Army in Georgia and Europe; also letters from Leon W. Jackson's friend, Pfc. Jerrold S. Robinson to Lois (Mrs. Claude E.) Dees and Leon W. Jackson; also dated photograph and album.
