The Records of East Carolina Men's Basketball are comprised of press handbooks, media guides, gameday programs, and game footage.

Approximately 114 blueprints, architectural renderings, and site maps (1948-1967) related to the Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina, covering the period of original construction through 1967 additions.

Collection contains the research notes, presentations, correspondence, poetry, clippings, and publications of Dr. Hal J. Daniel, Emeritus Professor of Biology at East Carolina University.

Croom (1901-1940) as a patrolman in Kinston, North Carolina, a member of the first North Carolina State Highway Patrol in Greensboro, N.C., and Director of Public Safety in Durham, N.C.; Also included are Croom and Peed family genealogical files and photographs.

Papers (1842-1970) consisting of correspondence concerning national politics, photographs, pre-World War II invitations, notes, legal papers, legal case files, school material, tariff discrimination, etc.

Records (1944-2008) of the North Carolina Council For The Social Studies include a constitution, organization history, committee reports, minutes, agenda, newsletters, rosters, memos, programs, clippings, and miscellany.

Memoir (1861-1865) including correspondence, transfer and escape of prisoners, details of sabotage of a Union train.

Sue Buffkin taught language arts in the 1970s and 1980s at Samarkand Manor (also spelled Samarcand Manor) in Eagle Springs, Moore County, North Carolina, a rehabilitation center for delinquent children. She was also a historian for the school. Her papers include her secretarial minutes and notes (1974-1984) for faculty and general staff meetings, very limited correspondence, student essays, the 50th anniversary publication (1968), and reports and publications (1971-1991) such as the student publication The Straw (1977), the staff publication The Samarkand Communiqué (1990, 1991), and an undated Samarkand Behavior Code.

Papers (1845-1992, undated) including correspondence, genealogical information, photographs, a water color, clippings, a doctor's journal, a recipe book and miscellaneous.

This photograph album documents campus life during Mary Cottman's years attending the Missionary Training Institute (later renamed Nyack College) in Nyack, New York, between 1934 and 1937.

Papers of Dara Wier (1981) documenting the life and literary career of the New Orleans, Louisiana-born American poet who is also director of the Masters of Fine Arts program for poets and writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, who was married novelist and short story writer Allen Wier (m. 1969-1983) [#1169.103] and then to poet James Tate until his death in 2015; consisting of a broadside of her poem The Consequences of Weather (1981), autographed Dara Wier.

Papers (1963) documenting the life and literary career of prolific New York City-born American poet, anti-war and environmental activist, W. S. [William Stanley] Merwin (b. 1927), consisting of a loose manuscript item transferred from a book in the Stuart Wright Book Collection entitled Seven Princeton Poets: Louis Coxe, George Garrett, Theodore Holmes, Galway Kinnell, William Meredith, W. S. Merwin, and Bink Noll which was a special edition of the Princeton University Library Quarterly (1963) edited by Sherman Hawkins.

Papers of Nancy [Anna Westcott] Hale (1971) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Boston, Massachusetts-born journalist, novelist, playwright, and artist; consisting of an unbound, oversized, galley proof of her novel Secrets (1971).

Papers of William Jay Smith (1970-1983) documenting the life and literary career the noted Winfield, Louisiana-born American poet, and educator at Hollins College, Virginia who also served as the nineteenth poet laureate consultant in poetry to the Library of Congress (1968-1970); consisting of oversized printed materials, including broadsides and brochures, entitled Oxford Doggerel (1983) and Army Brat: A Dramatic Narrative for Three Voices by William Jay Smith (1982); also including loose manuscript items transferred from William Jay Smith's works in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, including publicity photographs found in Army Brat (1982) and New and Selected Poems (1944).
