These papers (1918, 1935-2012) relate chiefly to renowned poet A. R. (Archie Randolph) Ammons and belonged to his sister Vida Ammons Cox. Included are correspondence, publications by or dedicated to A. R. Ammons, programs, posters, photographs, awards, broadsides, book reviews, audio recordings, watercolors painted by A. R. Ammons and newspaper clippings.

The Special Collections teaching collection consists of sources used for archival classroom instruction. Material within the collection was identified as out of scope for our regular collections, yet still useful as a primary or secondary source in our teaching sessions.

This collection contains administrative files, course proposals and syllabi, brochures, flyers, programs, publications, and video recordings to students during the COVID-19 pandemic from the College of Allied Health Sciences.

Collection (1848-1931) of Johnston County (NC) family including journal, will, deeds, letter, certificates, etc.

Papers (1943-1945) of naval reserve officer who commanded the Naval Armed Guard aboard the SS EDWIN L. GODKIN and the SS CHIPPEWA, during World War II, including logbooks, inventories, reports, memorandums, voyage itinerary, orders, photographs, etc.

This collection (2001-2008) has printed material, minutes, correspondence, ephemera and other documents donated by Dr. Keats Sparrow who participated as a member of the North Carolina First Flight Commission and its Education Committee during the 100th Anniversary celebration of the First Flight. The collection also contains a 2003 commemorative booklet "First Flight Visions celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Powered Flight," information from the International Commission's 2001 Flight Symposium about the Wright Brothers, photographs, clippings, and brochures. Other items are a travel mug, automobile license plate, pins, shoulder patches and commemorative items.

Records (1966-2006, undated) documenting the activities of the League of Women Voters of Pitt County, North Carolina, a women's political organization, including historical materials, board of trustees files, publications, clippings, research files, membership files, financial records, scrapbooks, oversized materials, correspondence, annual reports, photographic prints and slides, bylaws, and position statements.

Papers (1950s-1960s) of prominent Greenville, NC attorney including correspondence, affidavits, appeals, motions, financial records, and a variety of other legal documents.

Papers (1862-1871) of a New Bern (NC) merchant, including letters and an account of property damages.

Papers (1941-1945, 1957) including photographs, correspondence, an obituary, congratulatory letter.

Papers (1872-1874, 1879, 1885) including correspondence, clippings, letters, crates de visite of Dall, and miscellaneous.

Typescript of manuscript written by Augustus Garland Albright (ca. 1915) with updates by Claude Overman (1967).

Papers (1782-2001) including grants, deeds, promissory notes, plats, records of enslaved persons, estate inventory, receipts, newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs and genealogical research relating to various members of the William Moore family.
