Collection (1936, 1941-1942) consisting of a photograph album of the S.S. ZamZam, an Egyptian-owned ship, its crew and passengers, including 120 American missionaries (from 21 different denominations), tobacco buyers and other passengers traveling from New York to Alexandria, Egypt, via Capetown, South Africa, who survived sinking by the German raider Tamesis 17 April 1941, including newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, periodicals, correspondence, and photocopies of an autobiographical account.

Material (1844-1891) including correspondence, account books, speeches, pamphlets, receipts, legal papers, and publications concerning William Robinson (an Irish immigrant) who was a newspaper publisher, town commissioner and mayor of Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina, and his son Dr. Marius Emmet Robinson who practiced in Goldsboro, operated a drugstore with his brother, and was the first chief of staff of Goldsboro's first hospital.

This collection (1850-1969; bulk 1860-1889) of papers belonging to Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC, attorneys, who were father and son and both named Marsden Bellamy, includes wills, deeds, estate and mortgage records, legal briefs, correspondence, insurance policies, account books, loan records, receipts of payment, agreements and other legal records.

This collection contains a diary (February 16, 1863-May 16, 1863) and correspondence (September 14, 1862-September 15, 1864) written by an unknown private serving in Co. I of the 44th Massachusetts Volunteers Regiment during the Civil War. The diary was written by a man named Daniel while his company is camped at Brice's Creek, North Carolina. The letters cover a longer span and are written by Daniel to his sister Susie. During that time, his company was camped at Readville, Newberne (now New Bern) and Brice's Creek in North Carolina, near Fort Smith and at Arlington Heights in Virginia, and finally at Fort Delaware in Delaware.

The collection is comprised of papers from Dr. I. Henderson Lutterloh and his son Dr. I. Hayden Lutterloh. It includes correspondence, licenses and receipts from Lutterloh Clinic and Drugstore, medical informational booklets, and handwritten notes from Hayden's education at Jefferson Medical College. Also included is a book based on Hayden's recollections of medicine in Sanford beginning with his father.

Cassel, a Brethren of Christ missionary in Guatemala, 1899-1957; also an untitled history of missionary work in Guatemala by William Haymaker, written in 1947, describing his missionary career, 1887-1947. 8 vols. The four month stay in Cuba of the 1st Battalion, 1st North Carolina Volunteers, from December 1898 through March 1899 is documented in these sixty amateur albumen photographs with captions. The photographs are 3 1/2" x 3 3/8" in 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" mounts. The soldiers arrived in Havana, Cuba, the day after the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the Spanish American War.

The Attic officially opened September 7, 1971, in Greenville, NC. The nightclub served as a local venue for entertainment and live music. The collection spans 1970-1985 and includes photographs, posters, advertisements, t-shirts, and a few publications. The strength of the collection is in documenting the variety of music performed as well as the club's later efforts to branch out into comedy and other forms of entertainment.

Collection (1870-1878) of manuscripts and printed materials relating to the voyage of the Clipper Ship SS RINGLEADER from New York, NY to San Francisco, CA, via Shanghai, China, including a log book of the voyage by George E.
