Records (ca. 1976-2004) of the East Carolina Council (North Carolina) of Boy Scouts of America include minutes of the Executive Board, photographs, issues of the Tarheel Scouter newspaper, and files pertaining to awards given to scouts.

Collection (1945-circa 1980s, undated) of clippings, photographs, Christmas cards, World War II ration books, relating to the Parker family, "Pitch a Boogie Woogie" a film with an all-black cast, the Corner Stone Baptist Church, and Mt. Photocopies of papers (1862-1899, 1931-1938) consisting of correspondence written by Nathan R. Frazier of Guilford County, North Carolina, while a member of Company B, the 45th Regiment North Carolina State Troops during the Civil War, post-war correspondence, court records, receipts, and a census of white children between the ages of six and twenty-one years old in District No. 3 in Deep River Township, Guilford County, N.C.

This collection contains papers and ephemera (1875-1985) pertaining to the Barnes Family of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, and the surrounding area. Included are correspondence, land records, photographs, genealogy notes, wills, obituaries, programs, autograph book (1884), report cards from Wesleyan Female College and UNC Chapel Hill, poetry, and accounts.

The School of Nursing Student Handbook contains information on graduation requirements, student rights, contact information, and a listing of approved courses for the curriculum.

Collection (1889-1890, 1893-1894) including Civil War black soldiers pension and compensation applications compiled by Frederick C. Douglass, a black lawyer, minister, and teacher in New Bern, NC who served as a government pension agent, 1889-1897.

This collection (2007-2010) is related to Patricia "Pat" Dunn's campaign for Mayor of Greenville, North Carolina, in 2007 and her first mayoral term in 2008 to 2010. Found here are her petition as an East Carolina University faculty member to obtain permission from ECU to run for political office, congratulatory letters and emails, photographs, certificates, the installation program, posters, highlights of her first term, and newspaper clippings.

Reminiscences (1999) of Capt. Walter P. Murphy, Jr. (US Navy ret.) a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, of his service (1941-1944) as a junior naval officer during World War II, including among other topics the incident of the submarine USS Sailfish sinking the Japanese carrier Chuyo.

The collection includes materials (1898-1959) documenting the work of Shackleford Banks native Josiah Clark Chadwick working on freighters running from North Carolina to New York, and then with the Army Corps of Engineers in North Carolina (1927-1959) working the Eastern N.C. federal waterway projects on diesel engines and then inspecting dredges. Included are family history, Chadwick's work history, training materials, engineers' level books, logbooks, and inventories of engineering property in Chadwick's charge.

This collection contains the written works of Dr. Henry Merritt Stenhouse, a U.S. Naval doctor. The written works detail his life as a naval doctor while in China and Japan (1918) and thoughts towards the Russian Revolution, the Chinese revolution, and their culture. It also gives detailed accounts of some illnesses, diseases, and injuries treated by Dr. Henry Stenhouse as well as his life as a medical student at the University of Colorado.

Papers (1943-1945) of naval reserve officer who commanded the Naval Armed Guard aboard the SS EDWIN L. GODKIN and the SS CHIPPEWA, during World War II, including logbooks, inventories, reports, memorandums, voyage itinerary, orders, photographs, etc.
