Two minute books (September 1874-January 1949) for the Conoho Primitive Baptist Church that was located near Oak City, Martin County, North Carolina. The church was founded in 1794 by former members of Flat Swamp Church. The church building was torn down ca. 1970, leaving a cemetery still in existence.

Papers (1851-1887) consisting of a memoir, correspondence, legal papers, transcripts, military documents, genealogical materials, and photographic scans pertaining to William Henry von Eberstein (1821- ca. 1890). Descending from German and English aristocracy, he was born in St. Servan, France, and also lived on the Isle of Guernsey before becoming a mariner at age 13. A mariner, soldier, and farmer, von Eberstein moved to Chocowinity, Beaufort County, North Carolina, in 1851 and established himself in business. Later he captained various ships out of Washington, North Carolina, and served in the Confederate army.

Military Academy Class of 1942, his pilot training and World War II service in the 5th Air Force in the Pacific, and his postwar service in Germany with the 12th Air Force, and the 601st Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron and 526th Tactical Control Group. Also documented are his service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, his continuing education courses, and his retirement.

Included are 581 images related to early aviation (ca.1910-1960s), the Fillmore Flying Service in Oakland, California (ca.1925-1939), Fillmore's military career, family life, and his the farm named Chosumneda in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

David Jones, Timothy Jones, Sr.; and including clippings, correspondence, photographic prints, and printed materials, relating to Bartlett Braxton Jones, of Elizabeth City, NC, who served as an attorney in the Justice Department, Washington, DC, a National officer of the Society of the Cincinnati, and his wife Helen Bryan Chamberlain Jones, of Kinston, NC, who were both active in Democratic Party politics and social activities.
