Collection consists of material related to the history of the Lynndale Garden Club of Greenville, North Carolina, from its founding in 1974 to 2016. Included are meeting minutes, executive board minutes, newsletters, photographs, clippings, yearbooks, brochures, membership rosters, treasurer reports, constitutions and by-laws, and engagement calendar books put out by the Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc., which contain photographs of winning arrangements by garden club members (including members of Lynndale Garden Club).

This collection includes the records (1937-2016) of the Inter Se Book Club of Greenville, North Carolina, from its founding. Included are minutes, programs, correspondence, yearbooks, clippings, and other materials.

Official records (1915-2025) of Immanuel Baptist Church, Greenville, N.C., including correspondence, minutes of Board of Deacons and Church Conferences, financial records, membership and donation records, photographs, building records for the church building on Elm Street, and several church record books.

Photograph album compiled by Ethel May Burt (ca. 1900) consisting primarily of photographic prints documenting Edenton, Chowan County, N.C., but also including views of various towns including Belhaven and Louisburg, N.C., and Claremont, Corbin Point, James River, and Portsmouth, Va., focusing on street scenes. Also includes also photos of families and friends; White and African American residents; the sitting rooms of Mrs. C. B. Elliott and Mrs. R. L. Temple; and images of notable sites, including Chowan County Courthouse, Dr. Richard Dillard and his front yard, Sailboat ELIZABETH, Norfolk & Southern Railway Stations and Depots, Edenton Bay, U.S. "Fish Pond" and Fish Hatchery, Bank of Edenton, Edenton Cotton Mill interior and exterior views, Methodist church, C. B. Elliott residence, Magnolia Street, "Dr. Capehart's Fishery", Steamer WAGNER of the Norfolk & Southern Railway Line, Ship BOUTWELL and Captain W. S. Correspondence (1942-1945) between Mary A. McLeod, through her work in South Carolina with the USO, and several members of the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II; and correspondence (1936-1949, undated) between Lt. John D. Grier and his family in the Charlotte, North Carolina, area during his military service before and during World War II. Other correspondence in the collection is between Grier and his brother who was a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II. The collection spans 1936-1949 and includes correspondence, photographs, and a Blue Star Service Banner which would have been displayed in the front window of a home where a family member was serving in the U.S. MaryArmed Services during World War II. Mary A. McLeod and John D. Grier were married in 1948.

Papers of Sam Witt (1993-2008) documenting the life and literary career of the noted English-born poet, journalist and educator at University of Iowa and other universities; including letters to Stuart Wright, typescript manuscript of Elegy of a Living Man, by Sam Witt; also loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Collection (1863-1865) related to the American Civil War and Andrew Giddings of Company E, 3rd North Carolina infantry. Includes Oath of Allegiance to the United States signed by Andrew Giddings on November 6, 1865 [Following the American Civil War, Confederate officials, veterans and prisoners of war were obliged to sign an "oath of allegiance" to regain their civil rights under the U. S. Constitution.]. The collection also includes a note concerning the capture of Washington Rose, a member of Company C, 6th Louisiana Regiment at the Battle of the Wilderness. Most significantly, the collection contains Andrew Giddings' leather-bound diary and ledger of income and expenses, which includes eyewitness accounts of the engagements in which he participated, including Gettysburg, Cold Harbor, Sharpsburg, Malvern Hill, 2nd Winchester, Chancellorsville, and Wilderness. It also includes descriptions of his capture and imprisonment in a Union prisoner of war camp. The collection also includes an envelope that held the diary with "Granddad Giddings Diary" written on it.

Papers (ca. 1793-2002, undated) of the history of the Grady family, of Duplin County, North Carolina including correspondence, legal papers, financial documents, clippings, and photographs relating to various members of the Grady family; also including biographical information on John Grady, who fought in the American Revolution and who is known as the first North Carolinian to die in the war; Benjamin Franklin Grady who fought in the Civil War for the Confederate States of America, and who served in Congress from 1890-1894; and John K. Grady who fought in World War I.

This collection consists of six ledgers (1946-1970) which are account records for Renfrew Printing Company, 716 Dickinson Avenue, Greenville, North Carolina. These ledgers were kept by the business owner Sherman McDonald Parks (1914-1972) Also included are a photograph of Sherman Parks and a newspaper clipping recounting his World War II experience with Company K, 109th Infantry.
