The Karel B. Absolon Collection is comprised of Absolon family papers and Karel B. Absolon's research and collecting interest, particularly Theodor Billroth. The papers relating to Absolon's family span three generations and include Karel B. Absolon, Karel Absolon, Willibald Absolon, and Jaroslav Bakes (a cousin to Karel Absolon). Karel B. Absolon's primary research interest was Austrian abdominal surgeon Theodor Billroth (1829-1894). Absolon also collected items related to European, primarily men, in the science field. The collection includes correspondence, translations, prints, photographs, articles, ephemera, and original documents.

Papers (1941-1970) of member of U. S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, including correspondence, orders, citations, an informal log of his naval service, 1941-1947, a photographs, and miscellany relating to his service aboard the destroyers USS LEA and the USS WADSWORTH during World War II and his postwar naval career.

Papers (1853-1946, 1962) consisting of correspondence, legal records, financial records, business memos, receipts, reports, photographs, clippings and miscellaneous related to a family of tobacconists living in Lynchburg, Virginia, and then settling in Greenville, North Carolina.

Ledger (1890) probably belonging to Branch and Company, Bankers of Wilson, NC showing accounts of individuals and organizations with which it did business.

The collection contains materials used for research and display in the Country Doctor Museum's "Art of Nursing" exhibit.

Papers (1941-1968, 1992-1997) including correspondence, photographs, printed material, and miscellaneous.

Papers (1943-1945) including correspondence with references made to signaling, semaphore operations, mail delivery problems, etc.

The School of Nursing Administrative Records include reports, degree proposals, announcements, brochures, publications, dean's files, and information regarding the honor society.

Papers (1930-1971) consisting of correspondence, notes, brazil- related material, annual reports, scripture based teaching.

Papers (1862-1885) consisting of diary, with description of camp, confederate and activities of knights of Golden Circle.

Michael J. Zagray was a cook aboard a U.S. Naval vessel during the early 1960s. The collection spans the years 1954-1963. It includes 69 black and white, 8" x 10" photographic prints and 3 mimeographed typescripts on the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission meetings held at MAC HQ Area, Korea, in 1963 and 1 mimeographed typescript on "Unusual Joint Duty Officers' Meetings" from 1 January 1954 to 1 October 1963.

Papers (1861-1878, 1892) consisting of correspondence, specifically special orders, general orders, circulars, and telegrams. Collection also includes a scrapbook and the Howard Family Tree.

Papers (1857-1930) including correspondence, diary, essays, speeches, post Civil War letters, natural disaster.

Papers (1917-1918) of Lt. William T. Clements documenting his experience with the 17th U.S. Aero Squadron, American Expeditionary Forces, during training in the U.S. and England, and service in France during World War I. Included are a diary, and a microfilm copy of his World War I photograph album.

Papers (1942-1945) including correspondence, picture, Christmas card, references of shortage of beer and cigarettes.
