This collection contains copies of East Magazine, which is published quarterly and showcases the accomplishments of faculty, staff, and alumni of East Carolina University.

This collection contains annual reports, meeting minutes, self-studies, and correspondence related to the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.

Registers (1784-1858) including newspaper clippings, geographical information, handwritten pages, details of war events and miscellany.

Papers (1944-1945) including correspondence, incoming and outgoing intelligence logbooks, financial reports, orders and a travel account and miscellany.

Papers (1821-1908, undated) including certificates, legal papers, letters, sale of personal property, disbursements by estate, teaching certificates, addresses, and statement of account (1881).

Papers (1943-1945) including correspondence with references made to signaling, semaphore operations, mail delivery problems, etc.

Printed materials (Sept. 1999 - May 2000) including copies of Pieces of Eight, and The East Carolinian, containing articles on Hurricane Floyd and the flood that followed, football tickets, and a copy of the program for the ECU v. University of Miami football game.

Collection (1950 - 2011), including correspondence, photographic prints, ephemera, subject files and published materials, relating to Democratic Party politics in North Carolina and Washington, DC, especially Leggett's activities as chief of staff for Robert B. Morgan, who was Attorney General of North Carolina and U. S. Senator, 1970-1980.

Papers (1941-1945) including autobiographical sketch, Tagalog Language, Filipino hardship during World War II.

Papers (1861 - 2025, undated) documenting the archaeological excavations of the Confederate defensive fortifications, river obstructions and fish trap on the River Neuse below Kinston, NC, and the Confederate ironclad ram CSS Neuse, relating to Capt. Joseph H. Price, commander of the CSS Neuse, and relating to Lenoir County, N.C., history in general including correspondence, notes, photographic prints and negatives (black and white), and publications.

Papers (1938-1994) of Captain James P. Lynch (USN ret.) a member of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941, including correspondence, programs and leaflets (1938-67); clippings (1944-94); printed forms (1940-75); and photographic prints (1943-68).

Papers of Allen Tate (1927-1996, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted American poet, biographer, editor, essayist, novelist and educator, including manuscripts, proofs of published materials, printed materials & ephemera, loose manuscripts transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, oversized materials, by or about Allen Tate, Ellen Glasgow, John Crowe Ransom, Peter Hillsman Taylor, Robert Penn Warren, Eudora Welty, and others; in English and Latin language.

Papers of John Ciardi (1820-1991 [Bulk: 1947-1991], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Boston, Massachusetts-born American poet, translator, etymologist, and editor, consisting of correspondence, manuscript materials, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, proofs of published works, audio recordings, and printed materials, by or about John Ciardi, Elio Vittorini, Harry Crews, George Braziller, and others; in English, Italian & Latin language.
