This collection contains papers and ephemera (1875-1985) pertaining to the Barnes Family of Murfreesboro, North Carolina, and the surrounding area. Included are correspondence, land records, photographs, genealogy notes, wills, obituaries, programs, autograph book (1884), report cards from Wesleyan Female College and UNC Chapel Hill, poetry, and accounts.

Collection (ca. 1907) consisting of a history of The Handcock Baptist Church, Winterville, North Carolina, 1808-1907, written as a junior thesis, by C. J. Jackson, a student at Wake Forest College, including names of the original members, pastors, and changes of name and location over the years, including Pitt Swift Creek Baptist Church, 1808; Handcock Baptist Church, 1808-1883; Antioch Baptist Church, 1883-1907; and Winterville Baptist Church, 1907-.

The Attic officially opened September 7, 1971, in Greenville, NC. The nightclub served as a local venue for entertainment and live music. The collection spans 1970-1985 and includes photographs, posters, advertisements, t-shirts, and a few publications. The strength of the collection is in documenting the variety of music performed as well as the club's later efforts to branch out into comedy and other forms of entertainment.

Papers (1845-1859, 1876, undated) including shipping records, bills of lading, promissory notes, receipts, indentures and correspondence.

This collection contains committee minutes, self-studies, annual reports, correspondence, topical files, and accreditation information.

This collection (March 12-27, 1863) includes three photographs of the 43rd Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers at Camp Rogers in New Bern, North Carolina and a letter from Union soldier John Buck to his wife Eve.

Papers of Stuart Wright (1783-2020, [Bulk: 1945-2014], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Roxboro, North Carolina-born American educator, chiropodist, author, translator, bibliographer, editor, historian, publisher, musician and collector, vendor and donor of literary and musical manuscripts and published materials; consisting of correspondence, holograph and typescript manuscripts of published materials, clippings, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection; also original art, audio recordings, proofs and advance review copies of published works, photographic materials and oversized materials; including materials in English, French, German, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Papers include photocopies of transcriptions of correspondence (1863-1864) written by Josiah Robert Peele Ellis of Wilson Co., North Carolina, to his wife Elizabeth Grimes Ellis while he was serving in Company C of the 43rd N.C. Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. The letters were transcribed in 1977 by Hugh Buckner Johnston who also provided supplementary information. Also included are genealogy records for the Ellis and Hill families of Eastern North Carolina.

Interview with Mrs. Robert B. (Katie) Morgan, covering the years 1925 to 2018, relating to her early life and family background, her experiences as an ECTC-ECU student and alumna, and as a school teacher, including her memories of life as the wife of North Carolina attorney, government official, state senator, attorney general and US Senator Robert B. Morgan, and her political, charitable, and social activities in Lillington, Greenville, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and in Washington, DC.

The collection includes letters (July 1918-March 1919) written by family members and friends in Jamesville, Martin County, North Carolina, to Asa J. Hardison while he was in World War I service with a medical detachment at Camp Greenleaf at Fort Oglethorpe in Chickamauga Park in Georgia and then at Camp Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. Also included are two letters (1909-1910) written by Maggie Roberson (Martha Ann Whitley Roberson) of Jamesville to her brother.

This collection consists of a large scrapbook dedicated to B. Bruce Sugg, Jr., upon his retirement from the Board of Directors for the North Carolina National Bank. The scrapbook includes ads, articles, and photographs related to the State Bank Trust Co. and the North Carolina National Bank. The two banks merged in 1969, while Sugg, Jr., was Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. According to sugg family members, the ads were written by Mr. Sugg.

Collection includes a detailed appraisal (November 5, 1946) of the Greenville Tobacco Company, Inc., in Greenville, North Carolina, by General Valuations Company, Inc., Appraisers and Engineers of New York.

Collection (1955-1969) of minutes, agendas, notes, correspondence, reports, and newsletters related to the donor's activities as a board member of the Housing Authority of Greenville, North Carolina, and supporter of public housing.

Papers (ca. 1796-1939, 1963) relating to the Abbott, Sumrell, Phillips, Fife, and Trout Families of Contentnea Neck Township, Lenoir County, North Carolina, and Johnson County, Indiana.
