Collection (1837-1985, undated) including photocopies of correspondence, deeds, receipts, statements, ledgers, bills of lading, license, reports, bulletins, genealogical, retail merchandising, letters etc.

This collection (1846-1903) contains correspondence between Ransom Respess of Ransomville, North Carolina, and other members of his family including his son, Reverend George Respess of Ransomville, N.C. Topics include family members, agriculture, an 1860 uprising of enslaved persons in Alabama, and the Civil War Battle of Manassas (1862). Among other items included is an 1846-1849 arithmetic cipher book.

Papers of Edmund J. Lilly, Jr.(1894-1978) a U. S. Army artillery officer in World War I and World War II, who served as commander of the 57th Philippine Scouts and regimental commander, experienced the Bataan Death March and was a POW until 1945. The collection does not include the originals, but facsimiles of Lilly's military records, correspondence, clippings, a hymnal, letters, and photographs.

Papers of Eleanor Ross Taylor (1940-2008 [Bulk: 1989-2008], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Falls Church, Virginia-born American poet, short story writer, and literary critic, consisting of edited manuscripts, proofs of published material & printed materials, including The Soul and Body of John Brown: A Poem, by Muriel Ruykeyser (1940); also including correspondence with Stuart Wright concerning her husband Peter Hillsman Taylor's papers; and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Material (1887, 1909-1969) related to the family of George E. and Nellie Maria Chambers Robinson of Montana, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Washington. Included are marriage and birth certificates, cemetery plot records, a divorce decree, photographs (also tintypes), a photograph album, and records and clippings concerning their son Harley G. Robinson who died in World War I.

Photograph album (late 1890's-1930's) compiled by an unknown missionary that documents the Methodist Church's mission activities in Rhodesia and Mozambique of everyday life.

Detailed map of the February 8, 1862, battlefield of Roanoke Island showing the placement of Confederate and Union troops, with a map of Roanoke Island and vicinity showing the location of forts, gunboats, and transport ships. The map was drawn by Lt. William S. Andrews of the 9th N.Y. Regiment and published by the authority of the Secretary of War, Office of the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army.
