Collection (1963-1988, n.d. [Bulk: 1980-1988]) of photographic prints and negatives of city government officials and employees, buildings and activities taken in and around Greenville, North Carolina, for the City of Greenville (NC) Public Works Office.

This collection contains letters (1964-1967) written by brothers Terrence and Dennis Miller of St. Louis, Missouri, who joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Letters written by Dennis Miller during 1967 document his time serving in Vietnam as part of 3rd BN, 60th Ord Co. Also included are letters written by fellow soldiers and friends (through 1971), service records, negatives, military payment certificates, and Vietnamese money.

Papers (1930-1943 undated) consisting of correspondence, bills, petitions, speeches, reports, etc., relating to legislative career, gasoline tax, fishing laws, legislative bills, creation of state motor vehicles department, and reports of NC Agricultural Extension service.

Records (1913-1931) including correspondence, financial records, clippings and photographs.

Papers (1700-1909) including correspondence, land records, a journal, a genealogical chart, a poem, an essay, receipts, promissory notes, and photographs.

Papers (1775-1949) including correspondence, deeds, financial accounts, photographs, and miscellaneous related to the Hughes and Grimsley families of Greene County, North Carolina.

Journal (1905-1906) consisting of reminiscences, historical, genealogical notations, insurance, autobiographical sketch, textbooks, journal entries of salaries, etc.

Papers (1790, 1837-1864) consisting of correspondence by John C. Fennell who served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, was stationed at Camp Heath near Scotts Hill on Topsail Sound, and died (1862) during the yellow fever epidemic in Wilmington, North Carolina. Also includes financial papers, poem, and letters of the Cromartie family of Bladen County, N.C.

Papers (1861-1933, undated) of Greenville, NC singer, songwriter, and director of Jarvis Memorial Methodist Church including correspondence, news articles, photographs, genealogical information, portraits, etc.
