Papers (1865) consisting of diary of day to day activities.

Collection of photographic materials dating from 1944 to 1974 created by Dr. Samuel T. White, II, a Greenville, North Carolina optometrist. Materials include photographic prints, negatives, slides, indexes, and printed forms documenting personal, professional, and artistic photography. Subjects include portraits of family and acquaintances as well as landscape and community scenes primarily depicting Eastern North Carolina. An additional group of forty five black and white photographic prints is also included.

Papers (1943) including correspondence, and an abstracted account of this correspondence entitled "Loneliness and Humor, Frustration and Pride."

This collection contains materials and documents (1893–1990s) relating to the history of Pitt County, North Carolina Schools, highlighting especially the era of segregation. Includes Registers (1893-1920); football pamphlets (1969–1978) for J.H. Rose High School; Statement of Funds Needed Provided by Pitt County for both "Colored" and "White" schools (1916-1917); a letter (1924) from G.R. Whitfield, Supervisor for "Colored" schools; scrapbooks, scrapbook materials, and news clippings (1970s–1990s) for Third Street School, C.M. Eppes, Greenville Middle School, Agnes Fullilove School and other Pitt County schools; building specifications (1968-1973) related to Pitt County Schools; John Edwin Scoville Memorial Cups (1923-1928).

Papers of Andrew Nelson Lytle (1934–1992, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Murfreesboro, Tennessee-born, American biographer, novelist, dramatist, literary critic, educator, and editor, who became a leader and spokesman for the Southern Agrarian literary movement, including correspondence, manuscript materials, typescripts and holographs, printed materials, and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Papers of Merrill Moore (1929–1987, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Columbia, Tennessee-born American poet, physician and psychiatrist, who became a leader and spokesman for the Fugitive Group of Southern poets that included Robert Penn Warren and Allen Tate, among others; including correspondence, manuscript materials, printed materials and loose manuscript materials from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Papers of William [Morris] Meredith, Jr. (1964-1983) documenting the life and literary career of the noted New York City-born American poet and educator at various universities including Connecticut College; consisting of materials mainly pertaining to The Cheer, by William Meredith (1980); including notes, manuscript typescripts, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection and oversized proofs.

Papers of [Edward Joseph] Ted Walker (1963-1983 [Bulk: 1963-1964]) documenting the life and literary career of the noted English-born poet, short story writer, travel writer, television and radio writer, and broadcaster, who later taught creative writing at New England College's campus in West Sussex, United Kingdom; consisting of his letters to John Smith regarding publication of his poems; holographs and corrected typescripts of his poems; and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection related to Stuart Wright's purchase of Poems for Cordelia, by Ted Walker (1972).

Papers of Richard Wilbur (1948-2008, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted New York City-born American poet, translator, and educator at Wesleyan University and Smith College, who was associated with the New Formalist movement, and who became poet laureate of the United States; including correspondence with John Ciardi, W. S. Merwin, and Louis Untermeyer, manuscript typescripts, audio recordings, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, printed materials, proofs of published materials, and oversized printed and photographic materials.
