This collection contains files from the ECU Chapter of the American Association of University Professors, specifically correspondence, administrative documents, event related materials, publications, and newspaper clippings. It also contains some materials from the American Association of University Professors at the national level.

Records (1950-2007) of Greenville Industries, including by-laws, certificate of incorporation, board minutes, correspondence, contracts, deeds, and blueprints, and of longtime board member and president Charles O'Hagan Horne, Jr. (1970-2000), including correspondence, financial records, blueprints, maps, and reports. Greenville Industries was a for-profit corporation founded to sell land at reduced rates to industries to encourage them to set up businesses in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Papers (1916-1935) including a photocopy of an autobiography, bound book, of professional papers and articles and copy of a lecture.

Woodington Universalist Church in Woodington, North Carolina predates the Civil War. This collection spans 1860-1866, 1946, 2006-2007 and contains correspondences, photographs, and documents relating to Woodington Universalist. There are photographs, excerpts from Reverend Hope Bain's Diary, a photo scanned copy of a deed, and a newspaper article.

Papers (1863-1961) including correspondence; diary; family histories; recollection; description of prisoners playing games, making furniture, jewelry, beer; reading newspaper, letters, etc.

Original material collected by Horace H. Mewborn, Jr. including printed maps, letters, diaries, clippings, cartes de visite, tintypes, an ambrotype, memoir, ledgers, reports, and drawings related to the Civil War especially pertaining to Col. John S. Mosby and his 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion, Col. Elijah V. White and his 35th Virginia Cavalry Battalion, North Carolina Cavalry Units, and the battles fought in the New Bern, NC, vicinity. Also included is his voluminous research related to the above listed units and the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of the South.

Records from the North Carolina Public Health Association includes newsletters, programs from meetings and conferences, minutes from governing council and executive committee, correspondence, memos, and adult health promotion treasurer's report books.

Papers (2/23/1862 - 12/26/1868) consisting of a pocket notebook belonging to James H. Mills, Sergeant of Company I, 44th Regiment North Carolina Troops, the "Eastern Tigers," a unit recruited in Pitt County, including orders, inventories, muster and supplies lists related to the Civil War and a few post-war account records.

Photographic prints (circa 1908, circa1940) of Greenville, North Carolina scenes, including a portrait of the Farmers Consolidated Tobacco Company members, a view of the downtown fire station interior, and eleven images of a flooded area on North Greene Street near Dal Cox's Esso filling station. Black & white. Various sizes.

Papers (1890-1974) consisting of correspondence, reports, pamphlets, speeches, conference records, minutes, publications, newspapers, agenda, photographs, and tapes related to the career of John A. Lang, Jr. He served as president of the National Student Federation of America (1933-1935), Assistant Director of Education Programs, Civilian Conservation Corps (1935-1938), director of the N.C. National Youth Administration (1938-1942), and administrative assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (1964-1971) among other positions.
