Cunningham (1942-1983) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Cumberland, Maryland-born American poet, literary critic and educator at various colleges including Brandeis University, 1953-1980; consisting of an oversized printed broadside entitled J. V. Cunningham: Two Poems (1983), including two poems printed on separate sheets inserted into slits in a third sheet; also including loose manuscript items transferred from works in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, including: Bibliography of the Published Works of J. V. Cunningham (1964), The Helmsman (1942), and Woe or Wonder (1951) and other items by J. V. Cunningham.

Collection (1942-2005) of materials belonging to Wray Raphael Herring, a member of the U.S. Navy B-1 Band which was the first all-African American Navy Band during World War II. Included are programs, clippings, sound recordings, yearbooks, concert programs, poems, and sheet music.

Criminal Docket 2 ledger (7/7/1925 - 12/15/1938), including cases 1738 - 3325, of such violations as larceny, drunk and disorderly, receiving, selling, having possession of liquor, operating automobile while intoxicated, assault, assault with deadly weapon (ADW), committing crime with weapon (CCW), etc., listing defendants by race.

Glenn Charles Ames, born 29 March 1913 in Wisconsin, served the US Military from 1935-1975, primarily in the National Guard. The Glenn C. Ames collection spans the years 1927-1986 and consists of 598 items, including manuscripts, printed materials, and photographic prints relating primarily to his service in the 41st Infantry Division, United States Army, during World War II. The collection also documents his service as commanding general of the California National Guard, 1967-1975.

Photos of W. W. Johnston and his wife Bess Swearngan Johnston. Includes Bess Swearngan's American Red Cross Nursing Service card (1917), as well as items belonging to Johnston's cousin, Irene V. Shearin. These items include nursing cards (1918, 1920), a nursing school diploma, and a nursing registration certificate (1903).

Alford, announcements of retirement, newspaper clippings, programs from the dedication of Matthew Lewis Field and Picnic Shelter, reports, photographic prints and photograph albums.
