Papers (1917-1941) of Frank M. Wooten Sr. (1875-1941), a leading Greenville attorney, Superior Court judge, and member of the N.C. General Assembly, and Greenville mayor, consisting of correspondence during first World War, letters, political campaign, pamphlets concerning tobacco, cultivation, agricultural alcohol, clipping, financial papers, etc.

This collection includes four letterpress books (1902-1907) that contain the outgoing correspondence from the mill's local manager, C. H. Flowers, to the company headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Information included within the letterpress books includes the amount of lumber cut, repair and operation costs, the number of hours worked by the labor crew, and descriptions of the local labor situation. Also included in the collection is Flowers' personal notebook (1901-1902) that offers a weekly account of the amount of lumber sold and prices charged. This collection also consists of many letters and directives addressed to the mill from the company's central office that provide instructions for dealing with the buying of logs, equipment, business costs, and shipments. Additionally, this collection includes personal letters and clippings of Flowers and his wife.

These papers (1848-1882) belonged to Johnson H. Bryan, Jr.(1824-1883) of Craven County, North Carolina. Included are deeds, statements of debt and obligation, receipts, receipts for purchase and sale of enslaved people, correspondence, mortgages, bankruptcy papers, and a resolution of complaint related to tariff discriminations and maintenance deficiencies on the Atlantic and North Carolina Railroad.

Papers of Charles Wright (1970-1986) the noted Pickwick Dam, Tennessee-born American poet and educator at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville; including broadsides, correspondence & typescripts related to a bibliography of Wright's work by Stuart Wright & loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection related to publications by Charles Wright.

Expressions magazine seeks to provide a forum for minority students to explore societal themes which constitute the focus of each issue. Expressions contains essays, poetry, and artwork intended to spark discussions between self-identified minorities and the mainstream student body. It is managed by the Student Media Board.

Papers of Robert Buffington (1979), documenting the life of the noted Illinois-born American literary critic and educator, biographer of John Crowe Ransom and proposed biographer of Allen Tate, who was also managing editor at The University of Georgia Press, consisting of an article entitled Young Hawk Circling, related to the early life of Allen Tate, originally published in The Southern Review (Fall 1979).

The collection has papers, photographs, personal items, patient records, and oral history of Milton D. Quigless, along with drafts and related materials to his autobiography, Looking Back: The Way It Was.

This collection contains scrapbooks about the Department and later School of Home Economics. The collection also contains annual reports, meeting minutes, course information and syllabi, event programs, publications, and photographs.

Steven N. Anastasion (U.S.N.A. 1942 graduate) served aboard the USS Champlin (DD601) from 1942 to 1945 and commanded the Destroyer Escort USS Melvin R. Nawman (DE 416) from 1952 to 1954 in Norway, Denmark and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the Destroyer USS Hawkins (DDR873) from 1958 to 1960 and the Guided Missile Cruiser USS Leahy (DLG-16) from 1964 to 1967 in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Papers refer to his service aboard these ships and include printed materials, newsletters, and navigational summaries. Also included are 2009 issues of The Seaweed, published by the USS Champlin Reunion Group and a transcription of an interview with Captain Anastasion done by Robert C. Bormann of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.

Papers of Robert Morgan (1967-1984) documenting the life and literary career of the noted North Carolina mountains-born American poet, short story writer, biographer and educator at Cornell University, 1971-, who specializes in Appalachian regional topics; consisting of correspondence with Stuart Wright, typescripts of his poem Glacier, a printed broadside of Portfolio / 1967: Lillabulero Press: Poems by Russell Banks – Douglas Collins – William Matthews – Robert Morgan – Newton Smith – Peter Wild (Chapel Hill, 1967); and an oversized newspaper entitled The Times Monitor, Ithaca, New York, (1984) inscribed by Robert Morgan to Stuart Wright.
