Jarvis papers (ca. 1822 - 1919, undated) including family bible records, clippings, genealogical notes, photographs, cipher book, and a periodical relating to the Jarvis, Brooks, Monk, Parker, and Wallace families, Memorial Baptist Church (Greenville, NC), and the Monumental Bronze Company.

Papers (1941-1945) of U.S. Naval officer, USNA Class of 1941, including an autobiographical account, a letter describing experiences aboard the USS West Virginia during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, a letter explaining terms used in letters to avoid censorship, several speeches to civic organizations on his experiences during World War II and his relationsip with Admiral Hyman George Rickover.

Papers (ca. 1793-2002, undated) of the history of the Grady family, of Duplin County, North Carolina including correspondence, legal papers, financial documents, clippings, and photographs relating to various members of the Grady family; also including biographical information on John Grady, who fought in the American Revolution and who is known as the first North Carolinian to die in the war; Benjamin Franklin Grady who fought in the Civil War for the Confederate States of America, and who served in Congress from 1890-1894; and John K. Grady who fought in World War I.

This collection (1962-1998) includes scrapbooks documenting activities (1986-1989) of the Junior Confederacy Chapter No. 775 (Wilson) of the Children of the Confederacy, activities (1962-1963, 1970-1971, 1988-1991) of the John W. Dunham Chapter No. 374 (Wilson) of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and activities (1989-1991) of the Junior Confederacy Chapter No. 66 (Wilson) of the Children of the Confederacy. Also included are some loose publications (1962-1998) such as yearbooks, convention programs, and minutes.

The Nell Wise Wechter Papers contains copies of the author's books, Taffy of Torpedo Junction (1957), Betsy Dowdy's Ride (1960), Swamp Girl (1971), and The Mighty Midgetts of Chicamacomico (1974). Also included are the typed and written drafts, typed manuscripts with revisions, original manuscripts, and galley proofs for her books. There is also correspondence from the Library of Congress, British Embassy, and Mariners Museum regarding Wechter's requests for information to assist her in writing her novels.

Collection (1852-2014) includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, printed materials, and other items compiled by retired East Carolina University English professor emeritus Dr. Ralph Hardee Rives (1930-2016) relating primarily to the Hardee - Rives and related families of North Carolina and the United Kingdom, the history of Eastern North Carolina (especially Halifax County and the town of Enfield), the United Methodist Church in Eastern North Carolina, state and local and national politics, and his charitable and philanthropic interests. The earliest original documents cover the period from 1852 through the Civil War and World War I.
