The collection has papers, photographs, personal items, patient records, and oral history of Milton D. Quigless, along with drafts and related materials to his autobiography, Looking Back: The Way It Was.

The Louis Orr Collection contains a set of forty-eight prints of the original fifty-one print set (and one replacement print) made from etchings of North Carolina historical landmarks and architectural sites. The etchings were created from 1939 to 1952 by artist Louis Orr, a world-renown etcher, at the behest of North Carolina resident Robert Lee Humber who wanted to preserve North Carolina's heritage by providing the artwork to schools, colleges, public libraries and institutions throughout the state.

Papers (1854 [1922]-1967) including correspondence, literary manuscripts, speeches, tape recordings, scrapbooks, photographs, newspaper clippings, pamphlets and miscellany.

Records (1937-2022) of Greenville, North Carolina, book club, including correspondence, constitution, by-laws, notes, yearbooks, photographs, minutes, scrapbooks, programs and clippings containing information on club activities and club members both past and present.

Papers (1708, 1782-1923, undated) including correspondence, land records, contracts, promissory notes, crop and livestock liens, testimony, mortgages, copies of birth and death records, and miscellaneous.

This collection contains Alliance magazine, which provides information on faculty, staff, student, and curriculum news and provides information on conferences and events sponsored by the School of Allied Health.

Collection contains speeches given as Danforth Lectures at East Carolina.

Students under the direction of a faculty advisor produced Pieces O' Eight beginning in 1939 to share the literary talent of students. In addition to short stories and essays, other sections of the magazine included pages devoted to humor, opinions, and advertisements of campus events.

This collection contains records (1904-2024) of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville, North Carolina, including correspondence, memos, financial records, reports, minutes, programs, newsletters and publications. Also included are photographs, documents, research notes, and other materials related to the 2013 church history "The People of St. Paul's: Happenings and Memories, 1700-2013" edited by Ann Harrison.

Papers (1945-1984 [Bulk: 1984]) documenting the life and literary career of Karl [Jay] Shapiro (1913-2000), the noted Baltimore, Maryland-born American poet, critic, and educator, consisting of an unbound page proof of Love and War, Art and War (1984) by Karl Shapiro; also containing loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection relating to Collected Poems, 1940-1979 (1945-1984), New and Selected Poems (1984), and To Abolish Children and Other Essays (1984) by Karl Shapiro.
