Collection (1942-2005) of materials belonging to Wray Raphael Herring, a member of the U.S. Navy B-1 Band which was the first all-African American Navy Band during World War II. Included are programs, clippings, sound recordings, yearbooks, concert programs, poems, and sheet music.

This collection contains press releases, correspondence, recruitment literature, flight shields, photographs of awards and plaques, and some photographs detailing the history of the United States Air Force ROTC Program.

Additionally, the collection has advertisements, licenses, pharmacy regulations, and a day book from the Stantonsburg Drug Company, which was owned and operated by Luther and Kenneth Edwards.

This collection contains copies of the ECU Medical Review and later iterations of the publication.

Collection (2005) of research material regarding the Battle of Wyse Forks, North Carolina, compiled by the donor for Through the Eyes of Soldiers: The Battle of Wyse Forks, Kinston, North Carolina, March 7-10, 1865, by Tom J. Edwards and William Rowland, edited by Ashleigh D. Brothers, published by the Lenoir County Historical Association, Kinston, N.C., in 2006, including typescripts of unit histories, excerpts from official records and published works, and manuscript maps of the battle.
