The Goldsboro Messenger Map of North Carolina, 1879, with Beaufort Harbor Inset Map, (New York, NY: G. W. C. B. Colton Co.) was a foldout map contained in a handbook given as a premium to subscribers of the Goldsboro Messenger. The handbook contains useful information about North Carolina.

Papers (1772, 1816-1927) including correspondence, legal papers, deeds and estate papers, financial papers, speeches, stories and poems, clippings, photographs, ledgers, medical bills, services rendered, charges and payments, etc.

Records (1903-1998, undated [Bulk: 1987-1998) of the Robeson House Preservation Association, reflecting their to preserve the historic Robeson – Whichard - Taylor house in Pitt County, North Carolina, including correspondence, reports, photographs, drawings, grant applications, etc.

USNA Class of 1924 scrapbook kept by John Thompson Warren (1901-1958) contains mainly photographs particularly concerning his 1921 cruise on the USS Kansas and his 1922 cruise on the USS Florida, but also contains a few documents and clippings.

This collection contains a flight log book and information on the type of planes flown by Colonel Lewis and East Carolina AFROTC Detachment 600.

Collection includes papers related to the personal life and non-university activities of East Carolina University History Professor Lawrence Fay Brewster (ECU professor from 1945 to 1969) for whom the Lawrence F. Brewster Classroom Building on campus was named in 1974. Included are materials (1857-1945) related to his parents and ancestors, Brewster's early life and education through earning his Ph.D., his teaching job at Cranleigh School for Boys in St. Petersburg, Florida, and his work with the Works Progress Administration as Research Editor for the Historical Records Survey of North Carolina. The vast majority (1960-1991) of the collection concerns his work as historiographer for the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina and writing his "History of the Protestant Episcopal, The Diocese of East Carolina."
