Collection (1932-2004) consists of clippings, a bibliography, published materials, and audio/videocassettes of televised documentories relating to the career of noted American woman air pilot Amelia Earhart.

Papers (1850, 1893-1915) including correspondence, receipts, post cards, advertisements, references of social activities, letters and miscellaneous.

Papers (April 1942 – April 1943, undated) consisting mainly of photographic prints originally belonging to a photograph album compiled by David Y. Taylor, documenting progress on several troubled U.S. Navy construction project contracts to build shipyards and ship repair facilities in the vicinity of Charleston, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia; including contracts awarded to Charleston Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, the Clifford F. MacEvoy Company, the Savannah Machine & Foundry Company, and to its Shipbuilding Division; including projects to construct plant facilities, dry docks and floating dry docks, caissons, retaining walls, coffer dams, graving docks, piers, wharfs, pilings, and bulkheads, etc.; the photographs also show work crews, including racially integrated crews, and equipment, including: railroads, docks, buildings, trucks, cranes, and pile drivers; also including the leather-bound front cover of the original photograph album.

Papers (1786-1912, undated) consisting correspondence, land records, financial records, plat, summons, mortgages and receipts.

Papers (1931-1935) including correspondence, reports, photo albums, missionary work, etc.

Papers (1861-1864) including correspondence, letters, account of duties, detailed description of USS Brandywine, etc.

Collection (1909-1925, undated ) of postcards and greeting cards received by Miss Gracie A. Fulk, of Timberville, Virginia, from family and friends, during the period when she grew from childhood to adulthood, including birthday cards, Civil War battlefield cards, World War I training scenes, parks, vacations, and holidays including Christmas, Easter, New Year, Thanksgiving & Valentine's Day cards, showing Virginia, California, Florida, Maryland, New York City, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, & Ontario, Canada, Scenes, etc. Color and Black & White.

This collection contains Teaching in the Two-Year College, a publication of the East Carolina Department of English. Publication features contributed essays related to English instruction, literature, and writing.

Papers (1937, undated) including a typescript volume, newspaper clippings, scripts of radio broadcast, African American spirituals.

Papers (1882-1954, undated [bulk 1882-1920]) of U. S. Navy surgeon, including correspondence, reports, and miscellany.

This collection (1880s-1980s) concerns the Holt family of Smithfield in Johnston County, North Carolina, and the Henderson family in Conecuh County, Alabama, and the Wilson family of Harrison and Detroit, Michigan who are related through marriage. The Holt family material mainly concerns William and Nancy Holt and their children and includes correspondence, diaries, school records, 16 mm films, photographs, and documents such as oil and gas leases in Texas related to William's work with The Texas Company (part of Texaco). The larger portion of the material is related to the other two families and includes correspondence, photographs (tintypes through color snapshots), ledger books and deeds (many related to timber purchases in Alabama and Michigan), and undated plat books for Michigan.
