The C. B. West collection consists of a ledger documenting construction projects of C. B. West and his son in Greenville and other cities; and materials purchased from such suppliers as W. H. Dail of Greenville; and three Greenville Mayor's Court record books documenting minor crimes in Greenville.

This collection contains trial sheets in different sizes and formats for M. C. Richards's 1947 publication of Poems by the press at Black Mountain College (in Black Mountain, North Carolina) while she was working there. Also included are copies of a collation attempt made by bookdealer Philip Howard of Serendipity Books and portions of his correspondence (1994) with James S. Jaffe regarding differences between the trial sheets and the printed edition of the Poems.

In this oral history interview Max Ray Joyner, Sr. discusses his involvment with East Carolina including his time as a student and his later work with The ECU Foundation, Alumni Association, Pirate Club, and Board of Trustees, serving on search committees, and endowing scholarships. He also mentions his wife's involvment with East Carolina.

Papers (ca. 1793-2002, undated) of the history of the Grady family, of Duplin County, North Carolina including correspondence, legal papers, financial documents, clippings, and photographs relating to various members of the Grady family; also including biographical information on John Grady, who fought in the American Revolution and who is known as the first North Carolinian to die in the war; Benjamin Franklin Grady who fought in the Civil War for the Confederate States of America, and who served in Congress from 1890-1894; and John K. Grady who fought in World War I.

Mostly used book with physician's certificate of registration for North Carolina.
