Collection consists of material related to the history of the Lynndale Garden Club of Greenville, North Carolina, from its founding in 1974 to 2016. Included are meeting minutes, executive board minutes, newsletters, photographs, clippings, yearbooks, brochures, membership rosters, treasurer reports, constitutions and by-laws, and engagement calendar books put out by the Garden Club of North Carolina, Inc., which contain photographs of winning arrangements by garden club members (including members of Lynndale Garden Club).

Papers (1907–2001) of Lt. Cmndr. John W. Gilpin, U.S. Navy, including materials relating to his family; attendance at the U.S. Naval Academy (Class of 1941); World War II service on the destroyers USS Monaghan, USS Trathen, and USS Evans; his postwar education, business career, and fraternal life.

Ledgers, day books and other records (1920-1980), of Falkland, NC Mercantile business and its antecedent firms.

The papers consist mainly of correspondence, North Carolina Medical Society presidential address and gavel, playbill and study guide, curriculum vitae, photographs, and newspaper articles.

A Sketch of Naval Life (1856-1865) by John A. Grier and "The Escambia Scrapbook" detailing the experiences of the crew of the USS Escambia (AO-80) (1943-1946).

This collection (1966-2011) consists of papers, ephemera, and printed oversize materials related to Democratic and Republican party politics in North Carolina that document elections and Chester Julian (C.J.) Hyatt's involvement in politics. There is also material related to George C. Wallace's campaign for president in 1968, 1972, and 1976. Hyatt was state chairman for Wallace's run in 1976.

Papers of the Bettencourt Family of Wilmington, North Carolina, 1833–1965 [Bulk: 1833–1888], relate to personal, financial, and genealogical matters of the family and the related Hawes–Newkirk–Nieuwkirk families of Hanover County, North Carolina.
