Collection contains the research notes, presentations, correspondence, poetry, clippings, and publications of Dr. Hal J. Daniel, Emeritus Professor of Biology at East Carolina University.

Collection (1903-2004) of materials relating to Wilbur and Orville Wright and the origin and development of flight in Italy, especially the Wright Brothers activities in Italy (1909-1910), acquired from the Gianni Caproni Museum, at Trento, Italy. Included are photographic and printed materials, stamps, videocassettes, and original art, assembled for a temporary exhibit for the centennial of the first flight at the Wright Brothers National Memorial, 13-17 December 2003.

Papers (1820-[1917-1975]-1980) consisting of correspondence, newspapers, clippings, literary manuscripts, scrapbooks, pamphlets, movie based correspondence, and genealogical records related to the literary career of newspaper columnist Dorothy Repiton Knox of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Alice Morgan Person collection (1874-1943, 2004-2008) contains ledgers, testimonials, advertisements, correspondence, and news clippings related to the Mrs. Joe Person Remedy Company. The Remedy was developed by Alice M. Person (Mrs. Joe Person) of Franklinton, Charlotte, and Kittrell, North Carolina, and marketed by her and later her son Rufus M. Person. Other material pertains to the sale of her arrangements of popular songs, and to family life.

Collection (1963-1988, n.d. [Bulk: 1980-1988]) of photographic prints and negatives of city government officials and employees, buildings and activities taken in and around Greenville, North Carolina, for the City of Greenville (NC) Public Works Office.

This collection (1791-1960) documents the horse and mule business, farm operations, land transactions, saw mill operation, and other business enterprises of Edward Cyrus Winslow (b. 1886) of Tarboro, Edgecombe County, N.C. Included in the collection are correspondence, financial and legal records such as account books, ledgers, bills and receipts, contracts with other mule dealers, promissory notes, agricultural liens and chattel mortgages, deeds, and lease and rental agreements. Also included are superior court records, blueprints of farm tracts and dairy equipment, printed material, business and family photographs, and a small quantity of family correspondence.

Records (1955-1994, undated) of architectural firm, Dudley & Shoe Architecture, Greenville, NC. Contains 376 items including blueprints, photos, images, and other documents developed by the firms founders.

Oral history interviews conducted with people connected with the health sciences, mainly in North Carolina. They include audiocassettes, videocassettes, CDs, DVDs, and transcripts.

Papers (1775 [1932-1966] - 1980, undated) consisting of correspondence, speeches, a diary, essay, reports, photographs, an autobiography, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, maps, pamphlets, financial records and miscellany.

A collection (ca. 1885-1918, undated) of 55 cartes de visite and cabinet cards mounted on cardboard, a scrapbook containing 11 snapshots, a manuscript, and printed materials belonging to John Miller Faison, a North Carolina physician, Democratic Party leader, and Congressman from the N.C. Third District between 1911 and 1915.

Picture postcards of hospitals in the United States. This collection has postcards from 44 states plus Washington, D.C. Many are in color.

Collection (1852-2014) includes correspondence, newspaper clippings, printed materials, and other items compiled by retired East Carolina University English professor emeritus Dr. Ralph Hardee Rives (1930-2016) relating primarily to the Hardee - Rives and related families of North Carolina and the United Kingdom, the history of Eastern North Carolina (especially Halifax County and the town of Enfield), the United Methodist Church in Eastern North Carolina, state and local and national politics, and his charitable and philanthropic interests. The earliest original documents cover the period from 1852 through the Civil War and World War I.

Collection (1821-2000, undated [bulk: 1989-2000]) of correspondence, family histories, genealogical charts, copies of deeds, cemetery records, Bible records, miscellany and oversized materials relating to Christopher DeGraffenried, also known as Baron Christoph von Graffenried, who established a colony of Swiss and Palatine emigrants at New Bern, North Carolina, in 1710; and also relating to his ancestors and descendants and the DeGraffenried Association, of Gulfport, Mississippi and San Antonio, Texas, which was established to preserve the family history and to maintain contact between family members; in English, German, Italian, and French language.
