H. Auden, Christopher Isherwood, T. S. Eliot, Robert Penn Warren, Richard Ghormley Eberhart, Randall Jarrell, Katherine Anne Porter, William Styron, Allen Tate, Peter Hillsman Taylor, and others, in English and French language.

The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation Collection: Lee D. Teal Papers contains materials documenting service aboard two U.S. Navy escort carriers during World War II: the USS Kitkun Bay (CVE-71) and the USS Hollandia (CVE-97). Items include a narrative history of the Kitkun Bay with an accompanying photograph of Lee D. Teal (1943–1945) and a program from a Divine Worship Service held aboard the Hollandia in 1944.

Papers of Nancy [Anna Westcott] Hale (1971) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Boston, Massachusetts-born journalist, novelist, playwright, and artist; consisting of an unbound, oversized, galley proof of her novel Secrets (1971).

This collection (1880s-1980s) concerns the Holt family of Smithfield in Johnston County, North Carolina, and the Henderson family in Conecuh County, Alabama, and the Wilson family of Harrison and Detroit, Michigan who are related through marriage. The Holt family material mainly concerns William and Nancy Holt and their children and includes correspondence, diaries, school records, 16 mm films, photographs, and documents such as oil and gas leases in Texas related to William's work with The Texas Company (part of Texaco). The larger portion of the material is related to the other two families and includes correspondence, photographs (tintypes through color snapshots), ledger books and deeds (many related to timber purchases in Alabama and Michigan), and undated plat books for Michigan.

This collection (1966-2011) consists of papers, ephemera, and printed oversize materials related to Democratic and Republican party politics in North Carolina that document elections and Chester Julian (C.J.) Hyatt's involvement in politics. There is also material related to George C. Wallace's campaign for president in 1968, 1972, and 1976. Hyatt was state chairman for Wallace's run in 1976.

Papers (1910-1956, undated) of U. S. naval officer, graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy, 1912, who was executive officer aboard the USS FANNING when it sank a German U-Boat U-58 during World War I, and during World War II commanded the battleship USS NORTH CAROLINA in the South Pacific, consisting of correspondence, battle reports, reports, speeches, Naval War College papers, citations, publications, newspaper clippings, photographs and miscellaneous.

Papers of Eleanor Ross Taylor (1940-2008 [Bulk: 1989-2008], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Falls Church, Virginia-born American poet, short story writer, and literary critic, consisting of edited manuscripts, proofs of published material & printed materials, including The Soul and Body of John Brown: A Poem, by Muriel Ruykeyser (1940); also including correspondence with Stuart Wright concerning her husband Peter Hillsman Taylor's papers; and loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Papers of Mary Eloise von Schrader Jarrell (1965-2012, undated) documenting the life and literary career the St. Louis, Missouri-born, memoirist and patron of the arts, who was the widow and literary executor of poet and educator Randall Jarrell (1914-1965) consisting of correspondence with Stuart Wright, typescripts, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, printed materials, and oversized materials relating primarily to her life with Randall Jarrell and the promotion of his works and literary influence on American poetry.

Papers (1945-1984 [Bulk: 1984]) documenting the life and literary career of Karl [Jay] Shapiro (1913-2000), the noted Baltimore, Maryland-born American poet, critic, and educator, consisting of an unbound page proof of Love and War, Art and War (1984) by Karl Shapiro; also containing loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection relating to Collected Poems, 1940-1979 (1945-1984), New and Selected Poems (1984), and To Abolish Children and Other Essays (1984) by Karl Shapiro.
