Collection (1945-circa 1980s, undated) of clippings, photographs, Christmas cards, World War II ration books, relating to the Parker family, "Pitch a Boogie Woogie" a film with an all-black cast, the Corner Stone Baptist Church, and Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church of Greenville, North Carolina.

The collection includes correspondence and some photographic material documenting the service of Richard Lewis Kinney (1927-2015) of Lexington, North Carolina in the United States Army in occupied Japan at the end of World War II. The collection provides a glimpse of an American soldier's point of view and experience serving overseas during the post-war occupation of Japan.

Papers concerning his community service work in the Greenville, Sheltered Workshop, Red Cross, Heart Association, United Fund, Art Museum and other community activities accumulated during his employment in the East Carolina University student stores, 1/1/1968 - 7/30/1987.

Major General Charles Justin Bailey was born at Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, on June 21, 1859. He commanded the 81st Infantry Division, American Expeditionary Forces, fighting in France during 1918 and 1919. Bailey compiled this album during 1918 and 1919 and it contains postcards of French and German towns and provinces; a few letters; photographs of France and the 81st Division including behind the lines scenes, Camp Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina, and identified officers and dignitaries; clippings and ephemera; and eight large color fold-out maps. The strength of the collection is its representation of World War I in France.

Papers of Mark Harris [Finkelstein] (1976) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Mount Vernon, New York-born American journalist, novelist, and literary biographer who was also a creative writing educator at San Francisco State University, Arizona State University and several other universities; consisting of a bound, uncorrected, galley proof of his autobiography, entitled Best Father Ever Invented: The Autobiography of Mark Harris (1976).
