Papers of David R. Slavitt (1967-2009 [Bulk: 1970-1994], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the prolific White Plains, New York-born American writer, poet, translator, and educator at several universities, who has authored more than 100 books; consisting of manuscript typescripts, loose manuscripts transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, and proofs of his works, including his novel Cold Comfort; also including several works under his pseudonym "Henry Sutton" notably a typescript of his poem The Cock Book: Or A Child's First Book of Pornography; and proofs of Vector: A Novel (1970).

Membership Records (1898-1912) from The Improved Order of Red Men (I.O.R.M), the "Occoneechee Tribe" No. 16; a historically white fraternity. In 1834 the Improved Order of the Red Men was established exclusively for white men. The Membership Record of "Occoneeche Tribe" No. 16 Improved Order of the Red Men (1898-1912) is not associated to the Occaneechi Nation or any other Indigenous Nation. Local chapter No. 16 was headquarterd in Raleigh, North Carolina and would hold meetings there, as well as in New Bern, North Carolina. The "all-white clause" was not removed until the 1970's allowing women and people of color to join. The record book includes names, dates, ranking, session locations, and deaths of members.

Papers of Walker Percy (1954-1997 [1975-1987]) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Birmingham, Alabama-born American novelist of the New South, consisting of three copies of a proof entitled Walker Percy: A Bibliography: 1930-1984, compiled by Stuart Wright (1985); also loose manuscript items transferred from works by Walker Percy in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, including from: Lancelot: A Novel (1977-1982), Lost in the Cosmos (1978-1997), The Message in the Bottle (1975-1983), The Movie-Goer: A Novel (1961, 1982), The Thanatos Syndrome (1987-1997), The Correspondence of Shelby Foote Walker Percy (1979-1987), The Message of Auschwitz (1987), and Walker Percy: A Bibliography, by Stuart Wright (1986) ; also including a pamphlet by Walker Percy, entitled Symbol and Need (1954).

Each UNC campus has a local board of trustees that holds extensive powers over academic and other operations of its campus on delegation from the Board of Governors. The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation Collection: Lee D. Teal Papers contains materials documenting service aboard two U.S. Navy escort carriers during World War II: the USS Kitkun Bay (CVE-71) and the USS Hollandia (CVE-97). Items include a narrative history of the Kitkun Bay with an accompanying photograph of Lee D. Teal (1943–1945) and a program from a Divine Worship Service held aboard the Hollandia in 1944.
