This collection contains two archeological reports of investigations conducted in Dare County, North Carolina.

This collection consist of seven clear negatives of maps of Brunswick County, North Carolina that highlight county landmarks and tourist advertisements and locations. The maps were created by East Carolina University's Regional Development Institute (RDI).

Collection (1942-1988) including correspondence, oral reminiscences, logbooks, technical data, veteran's information, and newsletters, newspaper clippings.

This collection (1821-2007) contains several groups of family history-related papers concerning eastern North Carolina and a large number of unrelated miscellaneous items such as photographs, church records, Bible records, and rare printed items on a variety of subjects. The majority of the family papers concern the Croom and Whitfield families of Lenoir County, N.C. Other family papers concern the Harvey family of Greene County, N.C., the Jordan and Waters families of Washington, N.C., the Meeks family of Pitt County, the Outlaw family of Lenoir County and the Thompson family of Georgia. A large part of this collection concerns the Ficklen family of Greenville, N.C., including scrapbooks, diaries, an autograph book and a post card collection. Some items concern the colorful poet, magazine editor, railroad speculator, paper mill owner, Civil War blockade-runner, and sea captain Appleton Oaksmith who lived in Carteret County, N.C., for fifteen years (1872-1887). Also included are ambrotype photographs of Confederate Civil War soldiers James Needham Alexander, who served in Company A, 11th North Carolina Troops (Infantry) and Stanhope Washington Alexander, who served in Company H, 35th North Carolina Regiment.

Brief history of ECU English Professor Alice Lucille Turner's involvement (1929-1948) with the Greenville (North Carolina) Chapter of the AAUW, photocopies of scrapbook newspaper clippings (1932-1936) about the Greenville Chapter, and material produced by the National Office (1929-1963) to be disseminated to the chapters.

Included are a copy of the Daniels-Murphrey Family History compiled and edited by Eleanor Daniels Casey in 1993, a photograph of the USS Nebraska that Benjamin Daniels of Wayne County, North Carolina, sailed to Europe on in WWI, and three photographs of Benjamin Daniels in his WWI US Navy uniform.

This collection contains the history of the Service League of Greenville, North Carolina (1951-2023). Present in the collection are the records of the organization, scrapbooks and photographs, uniforms worn by members, membership rosters, posters, clippings, and a cookbook. The material present in the collection includes both physical items and digital files.

Records from the College of Allied Health Sciences at East Carolina University tracking the development of the school. Also includes three editions of Alliance, the journal produced by the school.

Papers (1805-1889, 1961-1963) of a wealthy, Elizabeth City, NC business family, consisting of correspondence, legal records, financial records, genealogical papers, Civil War events, letters, wedding gift, labor strikes and miscellaneous.

The papers track the history and development of Pitt County Memorial Hospital(previously Vidant, now ECU Health) and Brody School of Medicine, including scrapbooks, photographs, publications, and videos.

Autobiography of Joseph Greene Boyette's life from his childhood (born 1929) upbringing in eastern North Carolina until 1952 when he got out of the U.S. Navy and headed to Duke University to take classes. Boyette actually starts his memoir with some information on the extremely hard upbringing his mother (born 1903) had and also includes a section of notes that his mother wrote about the childhood experiences of her 3 boys.

Collection (2005) of research material regarding the Battle of Wyse Forks, North Carolina, compiled by the donor for Through the Eyes of Soldiers: The Battle of Wyse Forks, Kinston, North Carolina, March 7-10, 1865, by Tom J. Edwards and William Rowland, edited by Ashleigh D. Brothers, published by the Lenoir County Historical Association, Kinston, N.C., in 2006, including typescripts of unit histories, excerpts from official records and published works, and manuscript maps of the battle.

Papers (1891-1905) consisting of correspondence; comments; inquiries; letters on flora, romance, religion and inquiries; postcards, business cards.
