This collection contains annual reports and printed materials by the Science and Math Education Center.

Each UNC campus has a local board of trustees that holds extensive powers over academic and other operations of its campus on delegation from the Board of Governors. UNC operates under an arrangement of shared governance that leverages the collective strengths of its campus chancellors and administrators, local boards of trustees, and the UNC President and Board of Governors. The University also honors the important traditional role of the faculty in the governance of the academy. This file inclueds policy memorandums, correspondence, Board of Governors Minutes, inauguration papers for President Friday and President Spangler, reports, statements, and proposals, as well as awards and publications.

Collection (1761-1966, undated) consisting correspondence, financial papers, shipping records, land records, printed material, receipts, shipping records, etc.

Papers (1705-1983, undated) including correspondence, diaries, genealogical records, legal and financial records, club records, photographs, clippings, surveys, and miscellaneous.

Papers (1761-1887) consisting of land records, correspondence, records of enslaved persons, financial records, financial papers, auction notice, advertisements, etc.

Papers (1900-1918, 1944) including birthing records, genealogical records, copies of estate settlement, financial records, deeds of sale for parcel of land.

Collection (1766-2010) consists of items related to the Augustus Moore (June 8, 1803-March 23, 1851) family of Chowan and Halifax Cos., N.C., his children Augustus Minton Moore, William Armistead Moore, Henrietta Moore Sutton, Susan Augustus Moore Righton, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Alfred Moore and John Armistead Moore, and the descendants of John Armistead Moore. Included are account books, legal records, land transactions, estate records, correspondence, clippings, and autograph books (1855, 1865) belonging to family members who attended Miss Willard's Female Seminary in Troy, N.Y., and Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City, Maryland. Also included are identified photographs (cartes de visite, tintypes, cased pictures, albums) of the Moore, Gilliam, and Skinner, families, religious books such as Roman Catholic Missals, Episcopal Books of Common Prayer and Bibles, UNC-Chapel Hill diplomas (1824), and items related to the 1878 Exposition in Paris, France.
