Papers (1929-1974) of Rear Admiral Wilson Durward Leggett, Jr., U.S. Naval Academy graduate of 1920 and Tarboro, North Carolina, native, including correspondence, photographs and photograph album, newspaper clippings, an order book, newsletters, journals, scrapbook, etc., documenting his Naval career and work with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Science and the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy.

The Phoenix Historical Society: African American History of Edgecombe County was founded in 2001 to recover, record, and promote the unique history of Edgecombe County (North Carolina) as experienced by members of its African American community. John S. Mosby and his 43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion, Col. Elijah V. White and his 35th Virginia Cavalry Battalion, North Carolina Cavalry Units, and the battles fought in the New Bern, NC, vicinity. Also included is his voluminous research related to the above listed units and the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of the South.

Papers (1946-1948) obtained by Richard Dillard Dixon, Jr., while visiting his father Richard Dillard Dixon, Sr., who participated in the of International Military Tribunal (for Nazi war crimes) held in Nuremberg, Germany, as a member of the judges Secretariat and as a judge. Included are mimeographed transcripts of some of the trials and related manuscripts, press releases, and wall charts delineating the hierarchy of Nazi German government and military system. Other papers (1870-1970) concern the life of Edenton, N.C., attorney, insurance agent, wholesale oil salesman and civic activist Richard Dillard Dixon, Jr.

Rev. Ivey James Wall, Jr. was born on May 16, 1938, in Craven County, NC. The collection spans 1960-2005 and includes files, notebooks, and photocopies of genealogical research related to Greenville, Pitt County, and Eastern North Carolina.

Greenville, North Carolina homes in 2001. The houses include the E. B. Ficklen home on West First Street, the J. S. and E. B. Ficklen homes on West 3rd Street, the old J. S. Ficklen home on Elizabeth Street (2), old Judson Blount home at the corner of Elizabeth and West 5th Streets (2) and an unidentified home at the corner of Ward and Elizabeth Streets. The collection is from 2001 and includes color 4" by 6" photographs.

Winslow's correspondence (1948-1970) and genealogical notes on the Blount, Copeland, Cartwright, Leigh, Jacocks, and Winslow families of Northeastern North Carolina, a memorandum and account book (1883), clippings including (among others) Raymond A. Winslow, Jr.'s genealogy columns, a flash drive of scanned genealogical material on the Haines, Holmes, and Winslow families inherited by Raymond A. Winslow, Jr. and a 1974 clipping profiling Francis E. Winslow, and photocopies.

Records (1950-2007) of Greenville Industries, including by-laws, certificate of incorporation, board minutes, correspondence, contracts, deeds, and blueprints, and of longtime board member and president Charles O'Hagan Horne, Jr. (1970-2000), including correspondence, financial records, blueprints, maps, and reports. Greenville Industries was a for-profit corporation founded to sell land at reduced rates to industries to encourage them to set up businesses in Pitt County, North Carolina.

Frank H. Price, Jr., a graduate in the USNA Class of 1941, had a naval career including service in World War II through postwar work with developing conventional warheads for Navy guided missiles and commanding several ships and a Destroyer Division, culminating in promotion to vice admiral in 1972 and retirement in 1975. His papers cover his entire naval career and include correspondence, orders, a memoir, clippings, photographs, programs, publications and a photograph album.
