This collection consists of a large scrapbook dedicated to B. Bruce Sugg, Jr., upon his retirement from the Board of Directors for the North Carolina National Bank. The scrapbook includes ads, articles, and photographs related to the State Bank Trust Co. and the North Carolina National Bank. The two banks merged in 1969, while Sugg, Jr., was Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. According to sugg family members, the ads were written by Mr. Sugg.

Photograph album documents missionaries from Cass Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church of Detroit (Michigan) in China (ca. 1900-1917). Photographs depicting local life and scenery such as street scenes, a Peng (tent cart), street vendors, Chinese Theatre scene, temples, Boxer ruins used as a boarding school and teachers and their students, are accompanied by ephemera such as programs, memorials and prospectuses.

This collection is comprised of annual reports, faculty minutes, American Chemical Society accreditation reports, correspondence, course proposals, publications, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools documents, self-study evaluations, and unit codes for the Department of Chemistry.

Papers of Mark Harris [Finkelstein] (1976) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Mount Vernon, New York-born American journalist, novelist, and literary biographer who was also a creative writing educator at San Francisco State University, Arizona State University and several other universities; consisting of a bound, uncorrected, galley proof of his autobiography, entitled Best Father Ever Invented: The Autobiography of Mark Harris (1976).
