Papers (1976-2011) of Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Executive Director of the North Carolina Clean Water Management Trust Fund and lobbyist for Conservation Council of North Carolina and the Sierra Club, North Carolina Chapter, including correspondence, newsletters, pamphlets, handbooks, magazines, legislative summaries, memos, reports, newspaper clippings on microfilm and miscellaneous documents relating to environmental issues.

The Victor Lasky Collection consists of correspondence, newspaper and magazine clippings, and printed materials documenting mid twentieth century anti communism and related political discourse in the United States. The materials appear to have been compiled by Victor Lasky in connection with his editorial work on The American Legion Reader (1953), and reflect contemporary debates surrounding national security, foreign policy, and ideological conflict during the early Cold War period. The collection includes items transmitted to Miss France G. Knight, then Director of the Passport Office within the Bureau of Security and Consular Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Together, these materials provide insight into the circulation of anti communist thought among journalists and government officials, as well as the broader cultural and political climate of the era.

Papers of Walter Sullivan (1987-1989) documenting the life and career of the Nashville, Tennessee-born American novelist, literary critic, and English professor at Vanderbilt University; consisting of loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection volume entitled A Requiem for the Renascence: The State of Fiction in the Modern South, by Walter Sullivan (1976); including Sullivan's letters to Stuart Wright regarding his book collection, 1987-1989.

Photographs by E. R. Kellersberger while in the Belgian Congo in Africa doing medical missionary service. Includes photographs of patients suffering from leprosy, elephantiasis, sleeping sickness, as well as photographs of the Edna Kellsberger Memorial Hospital and the surrounding area.

Collection (ca. 1930–1954) manuscript and printed materials relating to the early history of Pitt County, North Carolina, and the Greenville High School Class of 1946, including revised manuscript drafts of a history of Pitt County, including correspondence, clippings, brochures, pamphlets, maps and rationing labels.

Collection includes two folders of 48 items primarily of correspondence, letters and financial documents for a transport business that shipped commodities by riverboat.

Papers (1705-1928) of Alamance County, North Carolina, native William L. Spoon (1862-1942) consisting of correspondence, a diary, pamphlets, almanacs, maps, photos, reports on weather, tax receipts, and land records. Spoon was a surveyor who was supervisor of public roads in Alamance County and worked as an agent of the U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as a teacher, inventor, and traveling salesman.

The papers include letters, postcards, and papers written by Henderson Irwin and his father, John R. Irwin, and photographs of John Irwin's medical practice.

Papers of Willie Jordan Batts include medicinal drug recipes, typed transcription of the recipes, and "Dr. Willie Jordan Batts, Esq., Botanic Physician" by Hugh B. Johnston Jr.

This collection contains a photograph album (1944-1945) kept by Raymond Drew (of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) while he was a member of Marine Photographic Squadron 254 (VMD-254) during World War II. His squadron later became a part of Squadron 954 (VMD-954). This squadron was based in Greenville, North Carolina, and the album contains photographs of the Greenville base and of Pacific Theatre battle sites.
