This collection contains Grover Truslow's materials from his time as an alumnus and football player at East Carolina.

This collection consists of papers relating to William Alva Greenleaf. Documents within this collection include, papers relating to William's service in the Civil War, correspondence, legal and estate records, financial records and genealogy records.

Hamer, an English professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, from 1986 through 2013, and a prolific songwriter, singer, and band leader who died in 2017. Included are notebooks containing his handwritten lyrics, poems, photographs, reel to reel tapes, clippings, and other material pertaining to his musical career.

Papers (1861 - 2025, undated) documenting the archaeological excavations of the Confederate defensive fortifications, river obstructions and fish trap on the River Neuse below Kinston, NC, and the Confederate ironclad ram CSS Neuse, relating to Capt. Joseph H. Price, commander of the CSS Neuse, and relating to Lenoir County, N.C., history in general including correspondence, notes, photographic prints and negatives (black and white), and publications.

Papers of John Updike (1946-2010, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Reading, Pennsylvania-born American novelist, poet, short story writer, art and literary critic, cartoonist, golfer and golf writer; including manuscripts and manuscript volumes, correspondence, clippings, photographic materials; also including drafts & proofs of published materials, including interviews for Writers at Work: Seventh Paris Review; original art; loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection; also oversized materials.

The collection contains a booklet, "Instrumentala Forlossningskonsten" (in Swedish), State of Illinois birth certificate forms, and text panel information.

George Vernon Holloman was born in Rich Square, North Carolina on September 17, 1902. This collection deals with the last years of his career in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1945-1946. He was a colonel and very involved in developing advanced technologies related to automatic landing and flying systems in the Air Technical Service Command (ATSC) at Wright Field. While on duty with the 20th Air Force in Guam as deputy chief of staff, he died in a plane crash over Formosa. Included are clippings, photographs and a postcard.
