The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation Collection: Thomas Onachila Jr. Papers consists of two photographs documenting the USS Leyte (CV-32), an Essex-class aircraft carrier active during the early Cold War and Korean War period. The images, dating circa 1950–1952, include a view of the vessel and a group portrait of its crew.

Eliza Arnold Hopkins Poe was born in 1787 in London. She was an actor and mother of American Poet Edgar Allan Poe. The collection is a photographic print of a miniature portrait of Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins Poe dated circa 1811. It was donated to the East Carolina Teachers Training School's Edgar Allan Poe Literary Society in 1914.

Papers of John Ciardi (1820-1991 [Bulk: 1947-1991], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Boston, Massachusetts-born American poet, translator, etymologist, and editor, consisting of correspondence, manuscript materials, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, proofs of published works, audio recordings, and printed materials, by or about John Ciardi, Elio Vittorini, Harry Crews, George Braziller, and others; in English, Italian & Latin language.

Papers (1760 [1880] - 1935) including correspondence, financial papers, account books, daybooks, essays, speeches, legal records, land records, notebooks, etc. of Eastern North Carolina farmer, leader of the NC Tobacco Growers Association, and NC Secretary of State (1901-1923), etc.

Records from the North Carolina Public Health Association includes newsletters, programs from meetings and conferences, minutes from governing council and executive committee, correspondence, memos, and adult health promotion treasurer's report books.

Letters (20 November 1862 – 20 January 1863) from two brothers -- Alfred Howard Kinsley of Co. H, of the 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment (Militia) and Thomas Kinsley, serving in Co. A, -- from Camp Amory on the Trent River, North Carolina, to Edward Wilkinson Kinsley, a Boston merchant, Abolitionist, Government agent and military recruiter, who was probably their relative, and primarily concerning their service in Brig. Gen. John G. Foster's Expedition to Goldsboro, NC, including the First Battle of Kinston and the Battle of Whitehall, NC, 13 – 14, 16 December 1862. Autograph letters signed.
