This collection includes scrapbooks, photographs, and other ephemera related to Charles E. Inabinett's 15 year coaching career at Plymouth High School in Washington County, North Carolina.

The collection includes papers and publications produced or related to the administration of John Decatur Messick. Materials include biographical records, correspondence, articles, newspaper clippings, administrative records, and other miscellaneous items.

Papers of Mark Morrow (1981-1998, [Bulk: 1981-1986]) documenting the life and career of the Greer, South Carolina-raised American journalist, editor, photographer, and essayist; consisting of loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection volume entitled Images of the Southern Writer: Photographs (1981-1998), by Mark Morrow, including 17 letters, postcards and bills sent from Morrow to Stuart Wright regarding photographic orders, 1981-1986; also a letter from George Garrett to Stuart Wright enclosing a copy of Morrow's book, 1998.

Personal Correspondence (December 30, 1861-September 16, 1862; April 1863) written by William Wilberforce Douglas to his family members during his service in the Fifth Rhode Island Volunteers and in General Ambrose Burnside's Expeditionary Corps in North Carolina. Letters, copied by his mother, Sarah Sawyer Douglas, from originals into a single bound journal, include references to his time at the battles of Roanoke Island, New Bern, and Fort Macon. Additionally, the journal includes newspaper clippings accounting his exploits in the war.

Papers (1940-1977, undated) including correspondence, newspaper clippings, booklets, reports, pamphlets, programs, commissions, regulations, movie film and miscellaneous.

Papers (1884-1967) including correspondence, organizational publication, photographs, newspaper clippings, typescripts, Civil War events, Women's club, songs, jewelry, bank books and notebook.

Papers of Gore Vidal (1984) documenting the life and literary career of the noted West Point, New York-born American novelist, playwright, and essayist consisting of bound uncorrected proofs for Lincoln: A Novel (1984), by Gore Vidal; also a publisher's newsletter advertising the publication.

This collection contains letters (1964-1967) written by brothers Terrence and Dennis Miller of St. Louis, Missouri, who joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Letters written by Dennis Miller during 1967 document his time serving in Vietnam as part of 3rd BN, 60th Ord Co. Also included are letters written by fellow soldiers and friends (through 1971), service records, negatives, military payment certificates, and Vietnamese money.

Papers (1898-1946, undated) including correspondence, newspapers, notes, programs, etc. compiled by a teacher in the English Department of East Carolina Teachers Training School.

Papers (1782-2001) including grants, deeds, promissory notes, plats, records of enslaved persons, estate inventory, receipts, newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs and genealogical research relating to various members of the William Moore family.

This collection contains two unrelated photograph albums of missionary and Y. M. C. A. related photographs of China. Some of the places captured are Taiyuanfu, Wu Ch'eng, Shanghai, Chin SSu, Tientsin, and Peiping. Note that not all the photographs are dated but each has a caption. The collection is estimated to date between the 1920s and 1930s.

This collection (1850-1969; bulk 1860-1889) of papers belonging to Wilmington, New Hanover County, NC, attorneys, who were father and son and both named Marsden Bellamy, includes wills, deeds, estate and mortgage records, legal briefs, correspondence, insurance policies, account books, loan records, receipts of payment, agreements and other legal records.

Collection (1803-1996) pertaining to Martin County, NC, farmer John Conrad Getsinger, Sr., (Nov. 4, 1812-Jan. 16, 1891), a native of Wurttemburg, Germany, and several of his descendants consisting of correspondence, memoranda books, a sketchbook created by Mr. Getsinger while he was a soldier (1847-1848) fighting in the Mexican War, financial records, Civil War records pertaining to Mr. Getsinger and his son John C. Getsinger, Jr., religious publications, Primitive Baptist Church records (especially for Smithwick's Creek Primitive Baptist Church), pamphlets, broadsides, photographs, legal papers, newspaper clippings, and miscellany.

Papers (1909-1938) including diaries, notebook of reminiscences, an expense book and other financial records, photographs, post cards, a map, certificates, diplomas, bonds and miscellany.
