This collection (1884, 1908-2005) includes the papers of Helen Keel Peel (who died in 2005 at the age of 88) and her husband James Woolard Peel (who died in 1986), of Everetts in Martin County, North Carolina. Included in the collection are a diary (1934-1937); photographs; typescripts related to Helen Peel's historical research about Everetts and Martin County; correspondence, scrapbook, and autograph books related to her public school years and her 1933-1934 time at Louisburg College; scrapbooks covering the time span of ca. 1956-1994; and Bible (1836) records, especially births, for the years 1808-1851 for members of the Peel, Woolard, Ward, Martin and Barnhill families of Martin County. Also included are report cards, transcripts, and correspondence related to James Peel's public schooling and time (1931-1935) at N.C. State University; U.S. Army service-related materials for his time in the Reserves (1936) and World War II (1942-1945); memorabilia related to his membership in the Order of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite; Martin County deeds and plats (1884-1972); account books (1908-1944); and remodeling plans (2000-2005) by Dr. Jesse R. Peel for his parents' house. deeds for various tracts of land in Everetts and elsewhere in Martin County, N.C., and papers (plat maps, correspondence, financial papers) that document involvement with Timberlands Unlimited, Inc., of Windsor, N.C.

The 113th Artillery Regiment, North Carolina National Guard Photograph Collection documents a group of fifty-two officers and enlisted men from Greenville, North Carolina, serving in the 113th Artillery Regiment, circa 1930. The photograph, possibly taken at Fort Bragg, provides visual representation of the regiment's personnel and offers insight into the North Carolina National Guard's early 20th-century organization and military presence.

Collection (1917-1933, bulk 1918-1919) mainly consists of correspondence (29 May 1918-29 April 1919; 115 letters) between U.S. Army Pvt. Roscoe Jackson and his wife Lucile E. Jackson of Barnesville, Belmont Co., Ohio, and also with his father, mother-in-law, and grandfather during World War I. He writes from Camp Sherman in Chillicothe, Ohio, Camp Mills in Long Island, New York, and from France where he is serving with the 138th U.S. Infantry, A.E.F.

Papers (1885-1930, undated) including correspondence, financial papers, clippings, photographs, pamphlets, newspapers, a letterpress book, etc., relating to Fechtig's role as purchasing agent for the Washington, Ohio and Western Railroad Company and other companies.

Records of Greenville, NC book club (1937-2018), including minutes, correspondence, newsletter clippings, constitution and by-laws, treasurer books, yearbooks, and eight scrapbooks.

This collection (1909-1924) contains seventeen letters, one Christmas card, and a Panamanian calendar sent by A. P. Wilde from Empire in the Canal Zone, to relatives in Louisa County, Virginia. During this time Mr. Wilde was employed by the Isthmian Canal Commission in the Department of Examination of Accounts while the Panama Canal was being built across the Isthmus of Panama. Topics discussed are work on the Canal, the effects of drought, earthquakes, and hurricanes, difficulties of sea travel, treatment of malaria, the drawdown of clerks as the Canal is completed, and his political opinions.

This collection contains correspondence, publications, press releases, and administrative records related to the administration and competition of intramural and collegiate sports teams at East Carolina.

Memoir entitled "Recollections of a Year in Thailand, 5 July 1971 – 4 July 1972," by Ashby D. Elmore, Capt., USAF, describing his service during the Vietnam War as an Intelligence Officer in the U. S. Air Force's 432nd Reconnaissance Technical Squadron, at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base in northeastern Thailand. Photocopy typescript.

Documented are attempts to keep up the cemetery, protect it from encroachment from neighboring Arlington Boulevard due to needs to widen the road, and from encroachment by neighbors.
