Papers (ca. 1890s-2003) of Nina Belle Redditt (1923-2005) and family of Greenville, Pitt County, N.C. Nina Belle Redditt, who served as a DKC officer in the U.S. Navy for 31 years, was the daughter of George Edward Harris, Sr., and Isabella "Belle" Augusta Hearne Harris. Included are scattered correspondence (1905-1907, 1930s-1950s, 1975), photographs and photocopies of photographs (1890s-1978), clippings (1950s-2003), and genealogical notes related to the Harris, Hearne and Moore families of Pitt County and the Redditt family of Beaufort County, N.C. Also included are two books: Old Southern Songs of the Period of the Confederacy, and Southern Sidelights by Rev. William E. Cox. Additional material relates to Nina Belle Redditt's Navy career and includes a photograph album (1947-1955) of service in Malta, Bainbridge, Maryland, and the Portrex war exercise in Puerto Rico; and photographs (1953) and documents (1956, 1963) related to the Korean War Military Armistice Agreement and the United Nations Command's involvement.

Michael J. Zagray was a cook aboard a U.S. Naval vessel during the early 1960s. The collection spans the years 1954-1963. It includes 69 black and white, 8" x 10" photographic prints and 3 mimeographed typescripts on the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission meetings held at MAC HQ Area, Korea, in 1963 and 1 mimeographed typescript on "Unusual Joint Duty Officers' Meetings" from 1 January 1954 to 1 October 1963.

On January 14, 2009, Dale Sauter (Grant Project Director) and Chris Oakley (Grant Historian) interviewed David J. Whichard II and Stuart Savage. Both Whichard and Savage have been at the Daily Reflector for most of their lives. Whichard's grandfather and his grandfather's brother founded the newspaper in the late 1800s. Savage retired in March 2009 with fifty years at the newspaper. They have both been involved in the newspaper in many capacities, including Whichard as one time publisher, and Savage as photographer. What makes this interview so special are the reflections of both Whichard and Savage about their experiences at the newspaper and in the Greenville area. Obviously, many changes have occurred since the start of the careers and the present day. These changes include both the physical processes, as well as the whole nature of the newspaper business. During this time there have also been dramatic and sweeping social transformations in Greenville that also mirror changes that occurred on a state and national level. Papers include correspondence (1938, 1960s, 1990s, 2013), deeds (1950s), photographs, certificates, an oral history on CD done in 2015, clippings, paper items related to World War II, and 2 panoramic photographs of Scottish Rite members in New Bern (1958, 1965).
This collection contains the book Adolf Hitler: Bilder aus dem Leben des Fuhrers. It is a Nazi propaganda biography of Adolf Hitler (published in 1936) in the form of an album with text that includes 188 black and white and 5 colored mounted cigarette cards produced by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst. Also included are fifty-seven 4 7/8" x 6 5/8" and sixty-six 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" black and white Nazi propaganda cigarette cards (circa 1933).

A journal (1/19 – 6/29/1859) written by Augustus M. Handley, a young British Army officer in the 19th Regiment of Foot, of a voyage from Gravesend, England, to Calcutta, India, aboard the sailing ship H.M.S. Bucton Castle with Captain Moorsom commanding. The journal contains a detailed description of daily life aboard the Bucton Castle, including various personalities on board, daily activities, an explanation of the ship's time-keeping, a drawing of the ship with parts labeled, notes on the how-to of navigation, changing weather conditions, sea conditions, and meetings with the various ships along the way.

The collection consists of correspondence, legal files, administrative files, clippings, ephemera, brochures, pamphlets and oversized materials.
Papers (1873, 1892-2009, undated) concerning Littleton Female College (later called Littleton College) in Warren County, North Carolina, and its alumnae include correspondence, programs, college history, alumnae lists, clippings, pamphlets and speeches, etc. The college opened in 1882 and closed after a disastrous fire in 1919. The Littleton College Memorial Association was founded in 1926.
