Miscellaneous papers found in books in the Laupus history collection that have been cataloged.

Video interview with Admiral William M. A. Greene (1920-2007) on his time as a student at East Carolina Teachers College and his involvement with East Carolina University as an alumnus. Greene discusses student life, his experience as a member of the football team, teachers he had, friends he made, and values instilled by East Carolina.

Collection (1768, 1799, 1825-1865, 1887-1931, 1985) assembled by prominent Democratic politician, newspaper editor and historian Henry T. King (1861-1924) of Greenville, N.C. Included are the papers of Edward C. Yellowley (1821-1885), a Greenville, N.C., lawyer with particular emphasis on correspondence while he was serving as a Confederate officer in the Civil War; King's Weekly Newspapers (1895-1902); King's Sketches of Pitt County; and correspondence, speeches, verse, legal documents, clippings, broadsides, pamphlets, receipts, poetry, accounts, maps, and miscellany.

Papers (1891-1905) consisting of correspondence; comments; inquiries; letters on flora, romance, religion and inquiries; postcards, business cards.

Papers 1937-1997 (Bulk 1974-1997) pertaining to Lee A. Wallace Jr.'s military service during World War II, including a scrapbook documenting Wallace's service in Battery "C", 2nd Battalion, 113th Field Artillery Regiment (formerly designated 117th Field Artillery); also referred to as 113th Field Artillery Battalion, 30th Infantry Division, North Carolina National Guard, based in Washington, N.C., including newspaper clippings, orders, photograph prints, and rosters; correspondence and newsletters pertaining to 30th Infantry Division reunions; a copy of the American Battle Monuments Commission's pamphlet entitled "30th Division: Summary of Operations in the World War" (1944); also oversized maps of the 30th Division's offensive operations during World War I, 1917-1918, removed from the pamphlet; in English, Dutch, & French language.

Records (1888-1981) including correspondence, minutes, treasurer's records, membership rolls, records of state conventions, a scrapbook, clippings, photographs, etc.

Papers (1829-1895) consisting correspondence, legal papers, promissory notes, financial records, loyalty oath, receipts for state and local tax.

Frances Cain papers contain materials related to her involvement with the ECU School of Music and her participation in state-wide tennis tournaments.

Papers of Walter Sullivan (1987-1989) documenting the life and career of the Nashville, Tennessee-born American novelist, literary critic, and English professor at Vanderbilt University; consisting of loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection volume entitled A Requiem for the Renascence: The State of Fiction in the Modern South, by Walter Sullivan (1976); including Sullivan's letters to Stuart Wright regarding his book collection, 1987-1989.

Autobiographical account (entitled "Navy Daze, 1939–1945", including narrative service on the USS Ranger (CV-4) and command of the USS SC-738 and the USS Kyne (DE-744).

Papers (1926-1953) of Brig. General Paul A. Putnam, U. S. Marine Corps, an aviator, who was captured at Wake Island and was a POW in Japan, 1941-1945, consisting of correspondence, diaries, a photograph, clippings, citations, orders, recipe book, copies of awards, citations, publications, newspaper articles.

Papers (1946-1948) obtained by Richard Dillard Dixon, Jr., while visiting his father Richard Dillard Dixon, Sr., who participated in the of International Military Tribunal (for Nazi war crimes) held in Nuremberg, Germany, as a member of the judges Secretariat and as a judge. Included are mimeographed transcripts of some of the trials and related manuscripts, press releases, and wall charts delineating the hierarchy of Nazi German government and military system. Other papers (1870-1970) concern the life of Edenton, N.C., attorney, insurance agent, wholesale oil salesman and civic activist Richard Dillard Dixon, Jr.

Papers (1921-1966) including correspondence, reports, citations, orders, photographs, clippings and miscellaneous items documenting the naval career of Rear Admiral Kenneth Charles Hurd.

Application forms (1917-1918) submitted by US Navy during World War I, for $10,000 US Treasury Department, Bureau of War Risk Insurance, Division of Military and Naval Insurance policies, including service number, name, address, date of birth, age, date of last enlistment, amount of insurance, beneficiaries name and address, certification as a true copy, where applied for, date of application, witnesses name and rank, applicants signature and rank.

Papers (1929-1974) of Rear Admiral Wilson Durward Leggett, Jr., U.S. Naval Academy graduate of 1920 and Tarboro, North Carolina, native, including correspondence, photographs and photograph album, newspaper clippings, an order book, newsletters, journals, scrapbook, etc., documenting his Naval career and work with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Science and the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy.
