Papers of Barry Hannah (1960-2016 [Bulk: 1972-2016], undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Meridian, Mississippi-born, novelist and educator at the University of Mississippi, where he directed the Masters of Fine Arts program; consisting of correspondence, manuscripts, photographic materials, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, proofs of published materials, & printed broadsides of his poem Boomerang and other works.

Collection (1768, 1799, 1825-1865, 1887-1931, 1985) assembled by prominent Democratic politician, newspaper editor and historian Henry T. King (1861-1924) of Greenville, N.C. Included are the papers of Edward C. Yellowley (1821-1885), a Greenville, N.C., lawyer with particular emphasis on correspondence while he was serving as a Confederate officer in the Civil War; King's Weekly Newspapers (1895-1902); King's Sketches of Pitt County; and correspondence, speeches, verse, legal documents, clippings, broadsides, pamphlets, receipts, poetry, accounts, maps, and miscellany.

The Vertical File Collection contains individual items that don't fit into existing collections. There is no overall theme or subject connecting them. Items included vary from photographs, broadsides, pamphlets, advertising materials, programs, negatives, and postcards to land grants, genealogy notes, and a music transcription book. Inclusive dates are 1792-2016.

Photograph album documenting the travels (1951) of the USS Seiverling through stops in Pearl Harbor, Midway, Japan, and probably Hong Kong, participation in the Taiwan Strait Patrol, and bombardments near Songjin, North Korea. Photographs depict not only the activities of the sailors, but also activities of the local people. Also included are photographs of other U.S. Navy ships, and small boats carrying surrendering North Koreans.
