This collection contains materials from professor emeritus Julie Fay's time at East Carolina University including materials about the Readers Writing Series, which she organized, the English Department, and materials regarding projects documenting the aftermath of Hurricane Floyd in Eastern North Carolina. It also contains materials related to her poetry and publications, as well as personal items and ephemera.

This collection holds menhaden fishing ledgers from 1949 to 1962 with information on how much an individual was paid each pay period plus the amount of taxes withheld, the individual's race, the number of dependents, and other information. These ledgers cover boats and workers who were part of the Beaufort By-Products Co., Inc., fleet of Menhaden fishing boats based out of Beaufort, North Carolina.

Papers of James Dickey (1950-1994) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Atlanta, Georgia-born American poet, novelist and essayist, including correspondence, manuscripts, photographic prints, proofs of published works, reviews of published materials, printed material, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection and oversized materials, by or about James Dickey, Louis Untermeyer, and others.

Papers of William [Morris] Meredith, Jr. (1964-1983) documenting the life and literary career of the noted New York City-born American poet and educator at various universities including Connecticut College; consisting of materials mainly pertaining to The Cheer, by William Meredith (1980); including notes, manuscript typescripts, loose manuscript items transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection and oversized proofs.

Captain Richard E. Foster of the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1941 comments on student life at the Academy, his wartime assignments on the USS PENNSYLVANIA and the USS INDIANA, his postwar duty on the USS WRIGHT, and his years as a naval engineer involved in ship design, planning, and production. He also describes witnessing the flag-raising at Iwo Jima from the deck of the USS VICKSBURG.

Scrapbooks created by Martha O'Neal commemorating her time as a student at East Carolina Teachers Training School and as a student and Bladensville High School. The scrapbook exclusively about ECTTS includes photographs, writings, event programs, organizational membership cards, report cards, and organic matter. The other scrapbook contains event programs and memorabilia from O'Neal's time at Bladensville High School and ECTTS.

The Rich Elkins Papers (1994-2002) is a collection of publications and clippings on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities in North Carolina, South Carolina, and New York with some of the materials from the LGBT community in Greenville, N.C. located in Eastern North Carolina. Richard "Rich" Elkins has been active in the Eastern N.C. LGBT community for many years and these materials reflect his involvement.

These papers (1938) document the New Deal policy during the Great Depression of resettling impoverished families from across the country into planned settlements. One of these resettlements occurred in Tillery, Halifax County, North Carolina. The documents are summonses for defendants to appear in the District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. The importance of these documents is that they list the names of landholders whose land was being condemned to be used in the planned Resettlement.

This collection contains genealogy files compiled by Elizabeth (Betsy) Ross of Greenville, North Carolina, primarily related to families in Beaufort, Craven, Martin, and Pitt Counties, North Carolina. These files include individual family files containing family sheets and genealogy notes, plus abstracts of public records that she did from microfilm and the actual records, and notebooks of genealogy notes that include indexes to their information.

The Biographical Sketch of Francois-Xavier Martin Collection consists of a single item dated March 1922. The collection includes a biographical sketch of François-Xavier Martin written by Romulus A. Nunn, along with accompanying correspondence from Judge Henry Groves Connor. The materials document an early twentieth century account of Martin's life and legacy and provide contextual insight into the creation and exchange of the biographical work.

This collection contains records of Eric G. Flannagan & Sons architectural firm that relate to capital projects on the East Carolina campus.

This collection consists of materials and documents (1918-1986) pertaining to the lives and military service of Macon Jasper "Jack" Moye, Sr. and his son, Macon Jasper "Jack" Moye, Jr. Most of the collection pertains to Macon J. Moye, Jr.'s military career (1937-1968), as well as his personal life and teaching career. Macon J. Moye, Jr.'s materials include official documents and correspondence from his career in the U.S. Army, personal correspondence with his wife, photographs, clippings, ephemera, and books and other published material relating to his career and life. Macon J. Moye, Sr.'s materials (1918-1966) consist of official documents, manuals, and correspondence from his service during WWI. His materials also include personal items, like contracts pertaining to his tobacco warehouse and clippings about his life and family.

Material includes administrative files, correspondence, publications, photographs, and memorabilia related to Coach Clarence Stasavich's time as football coach and athletic director (1961-1975) of East Carolina College and East Carolina University.
