The collection contains a group of copied pages from several sources, with the cover page titled "Wood Tucker Johnson, M.D., Medical Lectures - University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine 1820-1823." Within these pages is a copy of a photograph (presumably of Johnson), a letter, copied pages from books, and complete typed versions of two books. Also in the collection are two handwritten books and Johnson's certificate of membership to the Philadelphia Medical Society and his University of Pennsylvania Medical School diploma.

This collection contains the records from Lennon's time as the director of the East Carolina Manuscript Collection and Coordinator of Special Collections.

H. Auden, Christopher Isherwood, T. S. Eliot, Robert Penn Warren, Richard Ghormley Eberhart, Randall Jarrell, Katherine Anne Porter, William Styron, Allen Tate, Peter Hillsman Taylor, and others, in English and French language.

Records 1956-1968) of Greenville, NC garden club, including 3 volumes of scrapbook materials (loose-leaf), 1956-68; 1 volume of yearbook materials (loose-leaf), including constitution, officers, calendar of events, membership, committee, projects, 1962-68; 1 volume of text (mss typescript) and color photographs entitled "Ward 3) Description of Beautification Project," [1960-65]; and 1 volume of records (loose-leaf), including membership, minutes of meetings (1956-68), executive board membership and executive board minutes of meetings (1956-66).

Papers (1863-1865) consisting of photocopies and typescript of correspondence, letters.

Memoir "Precious Memories. . .in My Life" by Wilson Crabtree (2006) about life experienced by the Crabtree and Oakley families in Rougemont, North Carolina, in Durham, Person, and Orange counties during the first half of the 20th Century. Family history and scanned photographs for the two families are given as well as documenting life in small diversified farms with tobacco as the cash crop. Accompanying the memoir is Mr. Crabtree's obituary.

This collection consists of photographs, slides, and negatives of images used in Greenville—Pitt County Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (North Carolina) publications in the 1970s through 1990s. Also included are some audiotapes.

Photograph album documents missionary life in Bolenge, Congo Free State (now Democratic Republic of the Congo), at the Disciples of Christ Congo Mission in 1935 and 1936. Photographs also illustrate everyday life among the Indigenous people of Congolese.
