The Records of the Department of ECU Physicians Newsletters are comprised of CLINICpulse, and ECU Women's Physicians OB/GYN Health Advisor.

Collection (1766-2010) consists of items related to the Augustus Moore (June 8, 1803-March 23, 1851) family of Chowan and Halifax Cos., N.C., his children Augustus Minton Moore, William Armistead Moore, Henrietta Moore Sutton, Susan Augustus Moore Righton, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Alfred Moore and John Armistead Moore, and the descendants of John Armistead Moore. Included are account books, legal records, land transactions, estate records, correspondence, clippings, and autograph books (1855, 1865) belonging to family members who attended Miss Willard's Female Seminary in Troy, N.Y., and Patapsco Female Institute in Ellicott City, Maryland. Also included are identified photographs (cartes de visite, tintypes, cased pictures, albums) of the Moore, Gilliam, and Skinner, families, religious books such as Roman Catholic Missals, Episcopal Books of Common Prayer and Bibles, UNC-Chapel Hill diplomas (1824), and items related to the 1878 Exposition in Paris, France.

Papers (1917-1969) include first World War diaries, correspondence, advertisements, pamphlets, brochures, periodicals, clippings, magazines, books, etc.

Interview (1904-1997) with home economics teacher and home demonstration agent, from Moycock, Currituck County, NC, who attended Louisburg College, 1924-1926, who taught at Salemburg, marriage and divorce, move to Baltimore, MD, 1928-1933, re-marriage to Sam Sanderlin, 1938-, work for Farmers Home Administration, with Black and White families in Currituck County, pellagra, fighting flies, 1933-; other jobs, Huddlers group, work for Home Extension Service, Elizabeth City, NC, marketing women's crafts. 4 cassettes. 6.0 hrs. Video interview with Admiral William M. A. Greene (1920-2007) on his time as a student at East Carolina Teachers College and his involvement with East Carolina University as an alumnus. Greene discusses student life, his experience as a member of the football team, teachers he had, friends he made, and values instilled by East Carolina.

Papers (1917-1932, 1974) of a World War I veteran who served in the 310th Ambulance Train, 78th Division, including correspondence, documents, historical reports, rosters, ephemera, memorabilia, photographs, postcards, printed forms, and printed materials.

Congressional files (1966-1992), of businessman and Democratic mayor of Farmville, NC, 1949-1953; state representative, 1955-1959; state senator, 1965; and U. S. Congressman from the 1st District of NC, 1966-1989, including correspondence, reports, legislative bills, memorandums, clippings, etc. 378 boxes. 126.0 cubic feet.

Papers (1861 - 2025, undated) documenting the archaeological excavations of the Confederate defensive fortifications, river obstructions and fish trap on the River Neuse below Kinston, NC, and the Confederate ironclad ram CSS Neuse, relating to Capt. Joseph H. Price, commander of the CSS Neuse, and relating to Lenoir County, N.C., history in general including correspondence, notes, photographic prints and negatives (black and white), and publications.

This collection consists of photographs, slides, and negatives of images used in Greenville—Pitt County Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (North Carolina) publications in the 1970s through 1990s. Also included are some audiotapes.

Records (1910-1956) including correspondence, financial records, minutes, legal papers, estate records, World War I and II, pamphlets, and miscellaneous.

Zachary Taylor Koonce III (1928-2015) of Washington, N.C., was a public-school system educator and administrator for over 20 years who wrote poetry and essays about eastern North Carolina. Included in this collection are published and unpublished poems and short stories (1974-1988, undated) by Mr. Koonce including publications containing poetry and local history articles, and clippings of a local history column he wrote titled "Tying Up" for the Beaufort-Hyde News (1987-1988).

Lecture notes, business accounts, and photocopied biographies of William H. Gardner.

Papers (2/23/1862 - 12/26/1868) consisting of a pocket notebook belonging to James H. Mills, Sergeant of Company I, 44th Regiment North Carolina Troops, the "Eastern Tigers," a unit recruited in Pitt County, including orders, inventories, muster and supplies lists related to the Civil War and a few post-war account records.

Letter (7/16/48) from Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr. with enclosures describing the sinking of the USS MAYRANT.

Papers (1926-2003) covering the schooling and naval service of U. S. naval officer, USNA class of 1931, Captain James H. Brown, including correspondence, reports, publications, clippings, and photographs. Extensive material pertains to his service during World War II aboard the USS SHAW (1940-1942), USS ABNER READ (1942-1944), and the USS AMMEN (1944-1945), as well as his service before and after World War II.
