Collection (1837-1985, undated) including photocopies of correspondence, deeds, receipts, statements, ledgers, bills of lading, license, reports, bulletins, genealogical, retail merchandising, letters etc.

Papers (1861 - 2025, undated) documenting the archaeological excavations of the Confederate defensive fortifications, river obstructions and fish trap on the River Neuse below Kinston, NC, and the Confederate ironclad ram CSS Neuse, relating to Capt. Joseph H. Price, commander of the CSS Neuse, and relating to Lenoir County, N.C., history in general including correspondence, notes, photographic prints and negatives (black and white), and publications.

This collection (1850-1988) includes records pertaining to Whitaker's Chapel, a Methodist Church near Enfield in Northeastern North Carolina, and minutes (1848-1939) of the Methodist Protestant Church's Roanoke Circuit to which it belonged.

Elias Carr (1839-1900) of Edgecombe County, a member of the Democratic Party, was the governor of North Carolina (1893-1897) and president of the N.C. State Farmers' Alliance and Industrial Union (1889-1892).

Papers (1705-1928) of Alamance County, North Carolina, native William L. Spoon (1862-1942) consisting of correspondence, a diary, pamphlets, almanacs, maps, photos, reports on weather, tax receipts, and land records. Spoon was a surveyor who was supervisor of public roads in Alamance County and worked as an agent of the U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as a teacher, inventor, and traveling salesman.

Records (ca. 1976-2004) of the East Carolina Council (North Carolina) of Boy Scouts of America include minutes of the Executive Board, photographs, issues of the Tarheel Scouter newspaper, and files pertaining to awards given to scouts.

Papers (1830-2011, undated [bulk 1830-1973]) relating to the Young – Spicer family of Fredericks Hall, Louisa County, Virginia and related families living in Virginia, Mississippi and Louisiana, including correspondence relating to the civil war, businesses, taxes & family matters; journals, photographic prints; genealogical and historical files and a listing of the gravestones in the Young-Spicer Cemetery at the family home, "Locust Grove" at Fredericks Hall, Virginia. Photocopies and original documents.

Papers (1942-1972) of a U.S. Navy officer, including original memos, reports, newsletters, photographs, a certificate; and photocopies of war patrol reports and maps for the USS Flying Fish, during World War II.

Collection (1947-1951, undated) of programs relating to various organizations at Greenville High School, Greenville, NC. Organizations include the glee club, Dramateers and the football team.
