Papers and artifacts, primarily notebooks, account books, journals, instruments, and devices of three generations of Alfred F. Hammond's, all physicians in eastern North Carolina.

Papers (1917-1969) include first World War diaries, correspondence, advertisements, pamphlets, brochures, periodicals, clippings, magazines, books, etc.

This collection contains Bible Records (from 1891 Bible) for the Daniel S. (born 1817) and Caroline (born 1823) Brock family and for the Caroline Leary Brock (b. 1895, Kinston, N.C.) and Roger Neal Sutton (born 1893, La Grange, N.C.) family. Also included is the 1913 City High School Commencement program, Kinston, N.C.

This collection contains scrapbooks and files (1992-2014) documenting the organization Order of First Families of North Carolina from its founding in 1992.

The collection includes letters (July 1918-March 1919) written by family members and friends in Jamesville, Martin County, North Carolina, to Asa J. Hardison while he was in World War I service with a medical detachment at Camp Greenleaf at Fort Oglethorpe in Chickamauga Park in Georgia and then at Camp Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. Also included are two letters (1909-1910) written by Maggie Roberson (Martha Ann Whitley Roberson) of Jamesville to her brother.
